Hello, so I'm in a bit of a dilemma here, I'm nearing 15000 loot points and I don't know which OKW doctrine to get, Elite Armor or Scavenge?
I'm a Tank player at heart so I want to get Elite Armor but I've seen lots of people complain that it's underpowered compared to Scavenge, and I guess Scavenge fills the gap that OKW has atm in terms of resources and units.
I'm mostly a defensive player anyway so I mostly go Fortifications, rarely Breakthrough for the Jagdtiger/Panzerfusilier combo.
So yeah that's basically my question to the more experienced part of the community, I'd ask on the Steam or official forums but I'd rather do it on the less-cancer ridden forums than on the most ones, and I'd ask friends but I'm not really sure who plays OKW and who has either of the 2 doctrines.

I'm not sure I understand you correctly but in terms of realism it would be more realistic than having the crew pop out of the ground to man the weapon.
You can also already test it in one of Svanh's mods on the CoH 2 workshop. |
Emplacements are the feature of UKF and they won't be removed if you like it or not. Plus it's not the topic for this thread.
Hiring the people (for really small amount of money) who knows the game and they have plan how to fix it like Cruzz while meantime Relic still earns is the way to give the game maybe even a second youth. Chances that it will happen are smaller than winning in a lottery.
I have small, just a little tiny hope that we will see some good actions (according balance/new map pool) from Relic side in Autumn.
Not removed, re-purposed, the Royal Engineers would still be able to build the emplacement but it will not come manned, it will be the same as the Tommy Trench. |
It has a few yes. Mirage, Firesparks & Mr.Smith is probably famous examples, who (relatively?) consistently provides high quality input. But who would decide who these people are in the end? Who would do the decision making when their opinions clash? And even these high quality posters are biased, even if not to a big extent. Taking input from top players is valuable, but nothing guarantees these players opinions being fair towards balance, even if they are(in most cases) more than your average coh2.org poster.
Letting the community as a whole decide things is simply crazy considering how low quality the majority of discussions are. Even members of the coh2.org staff produces low quality posts recently I've noticed(what the hell are you doing?)
Realisticly it's suicide from a business point of view as well to hand over the development to the community, considering Relic supposedly being a full-fledged game producing company.
I'd rather stick with Relic and their utterly piss-poor post-release development than this ill-conceived idea. At least the game is still fun to play.

I do not agree with Firesparks or his changes to the British mortar pit in his mod or the British in general, if these changes are implemented it would mean the death of British in-direct fire support as well as their whole faction, biased is right here and I am not saying anything but I believe he does hold some bias towards the Allies or at least the Brits.
The best fix for the mortar pit would be to replace it with a normal mortar squad and make the pit a garrisonable emplacement which gives the mortar some sort of bonus like it's with the Vickers when garrisoned and Vet 1. |

Not to mention they also BADLY implemented it, I don't believe mirage killed the raketten on purpose, OKW is in a bad spot because of the lack of a proper AT gun right now and their hand-held AT capabilities being transferred over to an expensive and squishy unit, not to mention the combat package being overpriced for what it does, and no don't bring up the cold immunity excuse, 99% of the games DO NOT HAVE BLIZZARDS ANYMORE, so it's useless, and illogical, the Soviet Red Army, bred and fed in cold weather doesn't have units immune to the cold but a Western Front European Army does? Alright then.
Also their suppression units are shit, the MG needs a buff and be made T0 as well as it's price increased to 240/250 man power, fix the Flak HT, otherwise, I'm not really complaining about the side-techs, hell put an upgrade for the Flak on the Schwerer if you want to, just decrease the other 2's prices or something to compensate. |

Plus you didn't specify in the topic at hand, I am, this guy (guessing that he's new) might think that this has been the god of all British OP abilities back then before it was nerfed which it was not. It was boss on a smaller maps, I agree, but not on the bigger ones. |
