I agree with Miragefla. Thing killing mortars/suppressing them is kinda stupid. |
So after playing many games using this mod, I can say mod is kinda odd but decent. I still feel that shrek should be given to sturmpios. Truck upgrade is okay for me and I enjoyed soviet after so much time. 3 penal squads with upgrade can tear apart axis infantry but then again I am yet to see 3-4 volks with upgrade going up against 3 penals with upgrades.
As I said, only downside for me is the removal of shreks. They are very important for axis. I would highly recommend Relic to give it to sturmpio. |
You pump rifleman like a Wh**e and equip them with bars/1919 and have 2 RE with zooks to counter the tanks. Rifleman will destroy poor volks because they cannot handle them. Heck! no can control that blob unless they got vet 3 obers. |
I would rather have Panzer IV infantry tank from vcoh with lock down ability to fuk allies blob. |
If they do implement all these changes, then I would suggest OKW guys to ignore volks completely. Save the munition of faust and use it on mines. Sturms, mgs and kubels should take care of every allies infantry early on. In mod, volks late game, even with 5 vet and 2 stgs, is really really bad. They get owned by rifleman very easily so they will be more like a liability than anything else. Sturms and obers/PFs/FFs are far far better for AI role. Mines are also better than faust any day.
Also, if nothing works then play allies to keep that BP down. |
What are you talking about?
- Side armor doesn't exist in the game, but you knew that.
- SHould the medium tanks be punished from an inability to even pen the rear armor when attacking a flank?
- The pen values of the mediums were left unchanged, so how do they affect the front armor any differently? If those values are changed, then a whole can of worms regarding balance is opened.
Maybe the viability of t-34s will require players to build a medium tank or td in response instead of waiting for a KT/Tiger. In that sense, the use of heavies may see a decline. Otherwise, straight up, I don't see how the relationship changes that much If a player pulls off a successful flank, they should be rewarded, not see their tanks unable to pen even the REAR armor of the heavy tank. Then again, we should try playing miragefla's mod or wait for the preview balance mod to decide.
Proper flank can still destroy most tanks. What happen in team games is not a flank but spam. 3-4 t76 (getting a decent buff and will cost less), Cromwell rush at your KT and while KT turret is slowing slipping into coma, it gets destroyed. At-least with panther, I stand a chance to hold against the spam of cheap tanks. Now it is like 2 volks with shrek, one panther and 1 KT can move around capturing points. With no shreks and reduced armor and without any buff to other parts (turret esp) means waste of 310 fuel for me. Use one to block the tank from reversing, put one right in front of it for lul and one more to jerk around it. and karbinder u said it gave them extreme mobility and pressure right? my nikka thats the reason they removed it, it shouldnt be banging every tank running around flanking and retreating after kills with no worries. now u just gotta ploay smarter and snare + atgun play early like usa sov ger

Such as balance supervision and design? Community created content are great, some modders go out of their way to fix iportant issues which have been ignored by the devs, to implement the changes and designs desired by the community, etc.
But that is about it. Game design requires helluva expertise and years of experinece otherwise you mess it up so bad that no one could fix it. The new trend which has been followed by relic is quite worrying, first starting the Preview mod, then 'Listening' to 'pros' and finally firing their enthusiastic balance dude and looking through the community created content for inspiration, instead of investing a little money and fixing trivial issues!

Agreed. No use of getting a KT now since they didn't buff its frontal armor/side armor. Slow turret will make it so easy for 76, 85, Cromwell, etc spam to own it now. No shrek to protect it either unless you turtle a place with toy rockets around it. 2 panthers or 3 JPIV are a better choice. |
Might be ok balance wise, but horrible for the flavour. I don't think anyone would play CoH if factions were just reskins of the same core units.
So removing shreks (note- not talking about volks shrek but just shreks), something axis had and set them apart, is fine? |
