Contrary to shrecks, you're loosing considerable amount of AI when going for them, you could go for RET spam, but that again leaves you with no AI, which wasn't a concern for OKW.
I'm really surprised you even attempt to defend shreckvolk cancer here.
What is behind these shrecks/zooks matters too and I don't think I need to say how big of a foundation they were for further OKW cheeze.
For USF its just a 4v4 gimmick, not a valid choice to spam zooks.

If you want to make it historical WW2 RTS, then T34/76 should cost 100mp and 15 fuel, all conscripts should have ppsh and PTRS rifles upgrades by default, both axis should have menpower, fuel and muni penalties increasing with the game length and so on and so forth.
NO ONE makes historical shit, because its pointless, not fun and most certainly, not balanced.
Soviets must go about with AT nades and AT guns, no reason why OKW can't do the same.
So i guess soviet AT == okw rocket toy? If okw can survive then why can't usf? Remove zooks and piats. Or you gonna say l2p now? |
while some so called weak faction got 60 munition handheld at, decent at gun, td with los 45 and range of 60, infantry that can beat mostly any infantry and a crew that can repair their own tank...but kk. |

With logic like that, Soviets without Guards must be the worst thing ever.
I'd rather Schrecks stay in OKW in some capacity myself.
Soviet...poor faction has been crying for a huge buff for years but lelic are stupid and won't do it. Soviet should have a decent AI unit and AT unit. Buff tanks and change the cost of units so it is hard to spam them but they stay good late game if micro'd properly.
I also wants shrek and zooks too stay. Removing shreks is not good. Just move them to a costly unit like sturms and give volks 3 stgs for 60-70 munitions. |
Relic, here are a couple of units that are in need of looking at (with the current balance changes at the moment):
- Obers will need a buff, or something that will make them shine in their AI due to volks taking that position.
- Adding panzerjager, or giving sturmpioneers schrecks.
- Make Wehrmacht trenches useful since they now have sandbags.
- Stop the Jagdpanzer from using it's predator cloak while moving.
- Think about the changes towards mines.
- Scale conscript to have some chance vs other infantry.
- Buff to the Ostwind's accuracy.
- Buff to the Flak Emplacement.
- Buff the M-42 somehow.
- Slight buff to the Tiger/Tiger Ace to compensate for their greater weakness in the rear armor.
- Reduce CP requirements of the Valentine, Hetzer, and Greyhound.
- Buff the Greyhound in any way possible.
- Decrease the chances of Guards throwing all of their weapons.
- Etc.
I agree...removing shreks completely is not good. I don't need those snares. Give shreks to sturms or introduce a new unit called XYZ that will cost 320 and can get 2 shreks. Also 2 stgs and 3 rifles does not have any sense. Increase the stg pack price to 75 and give 5 stgs.
If you really want to remove hand held AT, then remove zooks too. 3 rifleman with 6 zooks are very effective. |
