Has anyone else noticed that heavy tank (Except the king tiger) use has plummeted? I haven't seen someone send out a Tiger, IS-2/ISU, KV, or Pershing in quite awhile. Last Time I did see one in use was sometime during late October. Is it just because of the matches I get into, or are heavies no longer useful? I don't know exactly why this is, but I think it might have to do with the limitation to 1 heavy on the field at a time. Anyone seeing this?

This is only punishing to blobers. If the player is not blobing he won't lose a lot of models, not more than what the tank would kill by simple shooting.
It can also be hard countered: snares and retreat.
And the best of all- another element of environment usability: find a part of the map with walls and push the enemy all the way to it- then...

The cost and the impact of the Perishing isn't worth it upwards of 1v1s. Team games it get smashed. It better to get 2 Shermans or 2 sluggers or 1 of each than a Perishing, it's way to risky to put that much resources into one low HP unit.
1 teller or land mine and you're done. Or anything snare.
Also by the time the unit comes out there is KT or elefant or jagdtiger out to shut it down.
The only thing I would "buff" is having it an earlier CP, more within timing of panther. Maybe 11????
I would agree with the point change, but it does fill quite the gap in USF late game armour, regardless of the armour or HP. Nice gun and range is what carries, not supposed to brawl with it. |
actually that is point of this game - good tactics and capitalising on advategous position. Also keep in mind if he rush building you have more room to cap elsewhere.
I like much more buildings than blobbing on open ground
I becomes difficult early game to capitalize on those gains however, as you will slowly get encroached upon, since those positions are almost unassailable. |
1st GO some company with fire. For example armor company. Also demos are great because they can destroy buildings with axis squad.
Key here is to
1. hold buildings
2. always play cut off game
3.create masive flanks on open ground so you can defeat mg and grens .
Also you need to be agressive or else enemy will dig in and gg.
Fast stuart help to maintain pressure and pack howie snipe infantry on open fields , while flametroer echelos/engineers get your riflemen into houses.
