Relic never balance based solely on forums they pick and choose the best ideas and suggestions and chuck them in a balance mod alongside their own changes.

I'm against troop training on principle. Veterancy is in the game to reward you for squad preservation, troop training allows you to buy your way past good playing.

Well yeah, the game is built around supplementing your army through commanders. I don't understand your point however, what do you mean "game issue"? Aren't all issues we have as a base related to the game, therefore all issues are "game issues". |
Let's assume you are correct. If the commander is not working well in 1v1's then it should likely be rebalanced anyway (assuming we balance for 1v1's), or it should be modified for larger team games because it tends to only see play there, and so changes have no effect on the precious 1v1 balance. Saying larger team games can't be balanced is nonsense since last patch we almost had a balanced 3v3 and 4v4 scene, literally less than one month ago.
In team games having an elephant and a stuka dive bomb is relatively easy, and causes games to end as you German steam roll the Allies off the map. The commander should be rebalanced, and I am all in favor of making it more attractive for smaller game modes, and improving its counterplay in larger game modes.
I have played the doctrine multiple times, and I usually don't have munitions stored up my rear that I can pull out and bomb the enemy into submission. The elefant comes LATE, and being expensive, slow, and lacking AI, it leaves the player requiring a strong infantry or much support from the teamate, which is where team play comes into effect. I'm with you balancing 2 vs 2 and above, but is this really the way? Is this Ostheer doctrine an issue? I think otherwise.

Lackluster for 440 manpwer and 65 fuel price (considering research).
Research should cost 50 mp and 5 fuel and vet 1 ability bug should be fixed because it's not working currently, aec just takes forever to aim and after shot nothing happends.
Christ, I thought it was just me, that ability is such shit. And the one time I actually sacrificed time to shoot at a panther, it just disabled the turret for a couple seconds, and then my AEC got destroyed. RELIC PLZ. |
Cohcharts only lists the top150, though it think it was top 250 by faction.
Could we also see the overall stats across the player base?
Also something along the lines of stats for rank 5 and down, ranks 10 to 6, 15 to 11 etc.
Another useful statistic would be game length. With the different factions designed to be either early or late bloomers it would be very interesting to see whether this holds true. UK vs OKW for instance both are supposed to be strong late game, but which is stronger?
I don't think knowing the win rates of newer and not as active players is really necessary, imo the Relic team should focussing on other matters, such as fixing the war spoils and balancing everything above 2 vs 2. |
Well, here's my 2 cents. This commander isn't widely used in 1 vs 1, as artillery pieces aren't dominant in competitive play, and the elefant has limitted utility and is expensive. So whatever arguments must be from a 2 vs 2 + perspective, then which you can complain about a lot, as everything above 2 vs 2 is unbalanced as shiiiiet. |
