Death to panzer III, praise hotchkiss! |
So, I think panzerschrecks are balanced more or less. The problem is the obscene amount vet you get for doing damage with it. And the vet bonuses for volksgrenadiers, combined with the recent retard-patch gives them significantly higher damage output. So it's actually beneficial to your anti-infantry damage to get the panzerschreck and accrue vet 3-4 much faster than you normally would. (Far more than you get from having that fifth man with a rifle)
I think this is resulting in a huge imbalance in veterancy pacing in favour of OKW infantry, giving them a serious midgame advantage.
I appeal to whatever patch Relic implements, they should also make it so you can drop weapons, put them away, and rig them with explosives so when the unsuspecting rifle man picks up a shreck he blows up |
These are the kind of things you come up with high
let's do it bois |
The AEC hasn't changed much since the patch. It just does more reliable damage now.
AEC Stat | Pre-Buff | Post-Buff |
AOE Distance | 0.1/0.2/0.25 (0.5) | 0.1/0.2/0.25 (2.5) |
AOE Damage | 120/30/12 | 120/48/24 |
Kill Radius | 0.144 | 0.155 |
Regardless, the buff is rather noticeable. |
So can people stop making these whine threads and giving them completely unrelated titles? There is already an AEC thread, why do you need to make more of them?
That's completely related. The meta. The abuse of, the implementation, the use against, and the fixing there fore. The obtuse reasoning towards over buffing a unit so that it can single handedly destroy your light vehicles and proceed to mop up the infantry, to chase down snipers, to knock out support teams, to screw your shit up. So, the meta. Shall we continue relying on it to make balance decisions? Or continue to antagonize those who point out the obvious? And maybe I do complain, but at least it's because I'm on the side dishing out the lulz, not receiving, so at least there's some righteousness in it. |
Moar content bro? Damn son, imo they should just try to fix what they already have. There's a patch changelog somewhere on the forums, but I don't think they've updated it since October. You can lurk around on the game play forums and usually find some patch threads in the abyss |
Can someone please explain why USF is considered a mobile faction? How is it more mobile than any other faction?
The game isn't like the WFA ad anymore, especially OKW. They were advertised as being "elite", but with the new economy buff and veterancy nerfs they're just basically a stronger version of Ostheer with less reliance on support teams. Alas, the USF isn't either, having probably the strongest and most versatile army in game, along with some pretty dank commanders to wipe the floor. |
yes, exactly.
because pointless whining is so constructive..
I'm sorry, I really didn't mean to come off like that. I play the game and I comment on various issues I see as disturbing the general balance. Maybe I'm not so well versed in the stats, or I come off as a rage poster, but my hours and rank do speak for themselves, I hope that gives some leverage on my opinions, and for christs sake, must you label me as pointless whiner? Because that in itself is very constructive? |
The old AEC could wipe models in one shot too(any tank can do this if the shell lands directly on the model). It depends on what health the models were at when they were hit that determines whether they die from the AOE damage or not.
Grenadiers clumping up and dying has always been that way; far worse with T70s or Stuarts. At least it isn't as bad as falls who regularly die because their formations out of cover haven't been fixed yet.
Meh, old AEC was lackluster against everthing but light vehicles, most shots would either miss or maybe do a little damage, imo of course. |
Its more the attitude of posting in a balance forum while admitting you don't want to understand the game logic/numbers/mechanics. Whatever at this point.
The AEC doesn't need anything drastic, more than anything the far accuracy might need toning down. It isn't wiping full health squads because it has very low AoE damage.
Well actually, clumped up squads of grens have tended to lose upwards to 3 models in one shot, at least from when I use the AEC, or maybe it's the player clumping his squads. But it certainly has the potential to wipe several models in single shots.
