Had that not been a flamer squad, the attacker could have stolen the building by queueing up in front of the door while the enemy squad was leaving. That's because squads exiting buildings cannot reemter them at the same time. Finally, 4 man squads enter/exit leave buildings faster than bigger squads. Those were the highest delay values relic allowed us to use, due to the early reactions the original changes received... In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: PMD-6M1 Jan 2018, 14:03 PM The primary benefit of the doctrinal mines is that they are cheap mines that you can lay down fadt, and are available at all infantry. I don't know if I would prefer laying down 1 enginee mine over a doctrinal mine on a chokepoint. However on an open map I would consider laying 3 special mines over 1 normal mine over open field. The cheapo mines are also occasionally useful if your enemy likes to spam indirect fire and is blowing up your mines, and creating craters for your cobscripts to ambush from in the process. More crucially the doctrinal mine is only triggeed by vehicles. So, use thqt if you've wiped the enrmy pioneer squad and the enemy starts sweeping mines with their squads In: COH2 Gameplay

Thread: Redesigning OKW30 Dec 2017, 21:03 PM The thing that okw needs help with the most is their teching, which is nonsensical. Med/mech hq options fall off hard and the tiers themselves are only there for the sidebonuses. Then, everything revolves around t0 and t4. The main point of this redesign is to create two unique and standalone mech/medhq tiers (rather than havung them rely on t0 units). The t0.5 upgrade is there to help bridge the cost fork to alloe players to go for both starting tiets. Like USF tiers, each okw tier gets access to one basic mmp-only tool (at/suppression). Each tier gets access to fuel options to cover complement the missing utility. T0 - Volks, Sturms, Kubel T0.5 upgrade unlocks volks nades & stgs MedHq: isg, flakht (cheaper at 40 fu), pak38 (or reworked rakerenwrerfer), Obers (require 2 trucks for lmg) MechHQ: luchs, puma, mg34, 250ht upgradeable to mortarht flakhq: Stuka, p4, panther, jp4 Prices are intentionally left blank, but you should expect medhq to be delayed to live-version mechhq Alternatively, given that okw lacks moetarht skins, same as above, but: - ISG moved to t0.5 - mortarht removed In: COH2 Gameplay

There is an option that seems ti orevent unloads happening too soon adter loads, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything In: COH2 Gameplay

It's different because even though mgs do teleport they still have a few secs of setup time. The functionally equivalent teleport mechanic would completely disable weapons for a few secs every time you enter or exit a building. I mean seriously, i don't think in all the games I have played or watched, I don't recall anyone house hopping in front on a flamer. You hop abuse for as long as wasting the other player's time is beneficial to you. Eg. You can hop abuse while waiting for reinforcemets, or hop abuse to preven the enemy player to reconnect their cutoff point, etc. Or, you csn hop abuse to completely deny the garrison clearing power of mortars. Basically hop abuse allows you to avoid counterplay in ways you had no right to. In: COH2 Gameplay

Which do you prefer?30 Dec 2017, 12:50 PM I'm 99% sure that the garrison-dance bug is linked to the bew formatiins, and that it has absolutely nothing to do with garrisoning delays. Yes, it's unfortunate that you can't issue new commands to units leaving garrisons quick enough. However your degarrison command is effectively a move command. So if you want yoyr troops to leave the garrison and go behind cover, sinply issue a degarrison command to the final destination directly. Insta-teleport from one door to the other was completely broken, as was the ability to outdps smg troops at close range with rifle troops just by abusing garrison hopping. Flamers would change nothing in that respect since you couls always hop-abuse vs flamers. In: COH2 Gameplay

Giving them pak40 like gun goes a long way into breaking uniqueness of factions even more. Honestly, I would definitely rather come back to shreck blobs with no snare than give okw another ostheer copy paste. There is no point in ballance if all that differs factions is their name. You can always remake the raketenwerfer into something completely unique that actually complements the faction. If you completely remove raketen from okw, you have a faction that has no chance toretaliate against early light vehicles. You also get a faction that, if at any point, manages to fall behind on tank trades gets overrun. None of the above are covered adequately by the current raketen. Instead the unit is optimised for cheesy artillery unit kills, as well as mocing and retreating in blobs when critical mass has been reached. For everything else, it's unreliable, and 1 raketen is functionally equivalent to 0 raketens. So, if the raketen is meant to be unique for a reason, I fail to see the reason have any relevance post-schreckblob removal. In: COH2 Balance
