is that really the case??, id thought it was a big long range buff as they make the sniper sound effect
yeah.... unfortunately the G43 in CoH2 has been implemented very poorly by Relic from a "player communication" standpoint.
There is only a scoped G43 variant in coh2, yet they can have completely different weapon profiles. On Snipers and Jaeger Light Infantry (OKW), it is a longrange snipe weapon that cant be used on the move. On Grens, Panzergrens and Fusiliers it is a close-mid range weapon that has excellent accuracy on the move. Yet there is no visual info to communicate this to the player.
You are by far not the only person who thought that the G43 is a longrange-upgrade on Grens, Pgrens and Fusiliers
Both have grenades so they are very good flankers as well. A blob of 3 fusiliers or grens will usually pick off 2/3 models before 1 can be taken in response. Commandos i guess would work but that is kind of restrictive. (also vet 5 fusiliers are damn near invincible, and they vet fast)
Nah I would not recommend commandos at all. As I said, try to use longrange units and the "attack move" order as much as possible so these units will stop moving, and shoot as soon as possible. And use LMGs as much as possible.
If it's a map with many sightblockers (where longrange units scale poorly), you have to do the same like the enemy unfortunately and spam close-mid range units. SVT cons for example with MG support
