So what I'm seeing here, is people think CP is OP because the allies HAVE TO REACT to it, that its OP because it's an actual threat that could possibly come first. Someone tell me please how the CP performs against infantry? How the CP performs against blobbs that you often see?
So what having 2 AT guns by 10cp is a bad thing? Last time I checked OH been having a need of an AT gun within 7 min for well over a year now.
This game has been about the axis player reacting off the allied strat.
As I stated in another post
Command panther has a moving accuracy penalty
Atrocious reload time
Extremely poor performance in the AI department
The aura is not at all OP or even close to being a game changer.

This thread is losing its way. It was also not very well titled and actually should be titled: "Command Panther. Is it over performing?"
The CmdP should not have the bonuses it does and needs a slight nerf. The idea that if it doesn't get vet 5 all the time makes it fine, has been floated here before. However, the CmdP is designed to win you the game at vet 3. Once there the buffs it gives out are so dramatic that the Allied team has to dive immediately to stop it. If they don't they will no longer be able to even use their TD's to deal with P4's.
The mark target it brings to the table is stupid. It is even harder to notice than the Soviet, does more (even when it improves performance against usually lower health tanks) and is dirt cheap. This also saves a commander slot and in a commander with 60 munition arty flares already.
The CmdP should come just 1 or 2 cp's later. The mark target ability should be removed or reworked, and its veterancy should either be changed to the panthers and offer a single level of buff (aka the cmd P4) or it should be seriously modified and only help your own units. This unit in team games with a Tiger Ace is stupid.
Please don't attack other members of the community for their opinion. This is especially true when you are summarizing their post without any context and then telling us what they may have said.
I completely disagree with everything you said here, I want you to know that. |
allied mark target and AT planes are fundamental mechanic that allow to counter far better axis heavy units. Most of the games allies dont have heavies at all. Axis always has them available in their trees.
I hate to be the one to break it to you, you do realize that your words mean nothing on these forums, you have lost all credibility and respect from most if not all people. Your a mindless troll that no one takes seriously. Let that sink in... |
The comet is OP way before the command panther is, an ANTI everything tank that snipes vet 3 infantry, crushes, and threatens tigers. Yeaaa okay. Why do you think every Brit players goes cromwells into comets. EVERY GAME |
Command panther is not OP, by the time it arrives the amount of medium tanks on the ground are plenty, even then so it's flighting comets and such, even then so,
Players might claim it's OP because it POSSIBLY could be a unit the allies have to react to, not the other way around as axis are always reacting to allied units and strats.
Secondly, going command panther and calling it in at a time where it's "early" means your sacrificing a tier, so let's say you don't go for tier 4, you lose the command panther your screwed, if you don't go tier 3. Then Stuka isn't possibly to counter let's say maximum spam or MT spams from the USF or USF blobbs or tier 2 means no meds, or no LEIGs to counter UKF emplacements.
Point is command panther comes at a price
Not to mention, the damn thing has a moving accuracy penalty, it's 225 fuel, and the reload is atrocious.
Just don't be so careless with your tanks

It's been 6 months or more since I built one, too little too late, can't compete with multiple comets/jacksons/firefly. |
I go spec ops 9/10 times, iv only had a vet 4/5 like twice, the game is over by then or the unit is lost. It's doctorinal and a Shit tone of fuel. Not to mentions it still misses half the time on the move with atrocious reload timing.
My vote is the COMET/CALLIOPE/LAND MATTRESS
Comet is anti everything, tangos with tigers, I often see it pen a tiger meanwhile the tiger will fail to pen. Anti infantry and has corvette speeds, able to crush.
Calliope, just due to its rocket damage, number of rockets with the perfect spread and little warning, same can be said about the landmattress. Destroys OH. |
I'm disappointed that
1. Axis armor does not at all scale well against infantry vs. allied counter part.
2. No nerfs to the jack of all trade comet/Cromwells OR
3. No buffs for panther/panzer 4/ostwind AI
4. No nerf to alien technology brace
5. There is a reason why landmattress/calliopes are in nearly almost every 2v2 game...
If your going to allow senseless blobbing with no punishment, at least buff the counters, I wouldn't dare rush a green squad or any other squad of that matter against a comet or even a Sherman late game
Meanwhile allied infantry with double LMGs or AT can blindly rush expensive armor knowing there is a slight chance of real punishment.
Far too often I can see USF have 4-6 rifles and go calliope and no tanks because they are able to snare any armor that gets close to allow the British tanks finish the job. Or even 4-6 rifles and go Pershing. I don't think there is any factions left that can do that reliability, have all infantry maybe an AT gun and rush heavys. "Combined arms with half track" use gets obliterated by landmattress and calliopes.. |
People act like they dont know what OP is talking about.
We only see it in every game, riflemen, with 1 or 2 bars. Mid-late game, massively carried by the stewart.
Point of the matter is. As axis, there is no real punishment vs infantry carelessly moving about the battlefield. And riflemen are able to defend themselves, (equip 1 or 2 zooks)
Riflmen are able to snare, smoke, double equip LMGs, double equip zooks.
Add that with the stewart/MT sniping infantry thats encountered in a fire fight its a down hill battle.
As i posted in one of my threads, all allied infantry are able to blindly move around the battle field and not be threatened. Oh yea, by a super late KT. |
Brace yourselves. New content that we already have awaits |
