Uh, McDonald's got sued for a million dollars over a $1 cup of coffee that stupid person didn't think was hot and spilled on themselves. I live in America you can sue anyone for anything here....
I've tried dropping this commander in my lap to see if it could physically injure me for a couple of hours now. Sadly it's digital and therefore not physically tangible. As such it's incapable of causing personal injury of the sort you describe. All is not lost, though, I'm calling 1-800 MY-LAWYER-CAN-DEFY-LAWS-OF-PHYSICS. |
Thanks for all the replies, I just mentioned scout cars as I saw Imperial Dane do quite well against this commander with them. |
Hi,
Am having a 1 v 1 problem with the American veteran infantry.
I'm typically using three rifles into an MG and then a scout car, but man those two-star inf with BARs start coming in and then flamers then 'nades...
By this point I had three volks, 1 pzgren, 2 mgs and a SC. A balanced army, I thought, into T3 preparing for the Easy Eights.
All he built was infantry with BARs, flames and nades. MGs in buildings were no problem, suppression is an issue.
Any ideas, L2P issues aside? Are snipers a good idea versus inf heavy US? Maybe I spread myself too thinly (I had good map control very early). |
I agree with you then, it does seem strangely underpowered for it's CP call-in point. Problem is the canister shot would be OP at 1 or 2 CPs.
I'd maybe keep it where it is and:
(1) give the gun some lovin' so it can threaten, if not pwn, Pumas
(2) make the canister round Vet One and up the muni cost
I think a player who invests in a couple and shows good micro, enough to vet them, should be rewarded with a viable light anti-vehicle unit. |
Remind me, does the canister shot come at Vet 1?
Maybe it could have that WP ability like the vCoH whatever-it-was armoured car that you could swap the Greyhound out for. |
Pop cap is no longer impacted by map control, unlike vCoH. This I think might be part of the problem. |
I think you all have a point about USF. In that game I simply couldn't begin to counter the Tiger and KT onslaught, despite what I thought was logical use of ATGs (meh) and Tank Destroyers *and* EZ8.
Shrek legions really are an issue for me, but the synergy between Ost and OKW means they've every base covered in a way USF and Sovs can never hope to achieve. |
Hi
I played two fun auto-matched 2 v 2s yesterday, won one and lost one.
I lost as USF and won as OKW, both games were four faction games (i.e. mixed teams).
Here's the thing - I felt the games were well-balanced in terms of player skill (I'm out there in the not-very-skilled majority) but I played better in the game I lost (i.e. USF).
Why?
I think it's pop cap. The OKW player (including me) has such epic resilience and can shrug off poor map control (on Semoisky I had 75% control) and those 'great come backs' mean for many of us 'just hang on long enough to get supertank).
I did this myself, the T34 call-in armada I was facing was crushed by a KT and a panther, not to mention my shrek legion.
Am prepared to accept L2P allegations because, as I say, I'm not the most skilled player but am enjoying 2 v 2. But when I *win* and wonder how I did it I have to ask myself if the pop cap issue is skewing outcomes disproportionately.
Oh, and if Vetlolcake is reading this, I faced upwards of eight HMG teams backed up with At guns and mortars - I stuka'd them and used, you know, micro.
|
Is it true that the Vet 5 IR halfie gets a plasma cannon? |
speaking as a poor micro zombie, I like the idea that the Puma is an outlier unit that rewards good micro.
I see it used 'normally' about 75% of the time but the rest I'm in awe of how cool it is.
Dat smoke.
And as you all know, I'm a CoH2 fanboy, not a faction 'x' or 'y' fanboy. |
