My opinion:
Heavies should be tough when they are properly facing their enemy and are engaged in a slug-fest. They should however, be vulnerable to mediums flanking around and getting rear shots as mediums are risking more by diving in and trying to circle around a heavy tank which leaves them open to snares and rear-line AT.
Good work with the new SU85, im just saying of the ISU gets a 30% pen buff at vet 2 would be all it needs but just my opinion.

All good changes but make note of this.
ISU AP ROUND
200/230/260
NEW SU85
220/230/240
Not sure about this but new vet 2 SU85
286/299/312 (im sure I read it gets a 30% pen buff now).
Something a bit off?

Finally, some awesome (and some uneasy) changes.
So happy about the T34/76 but does make me think about the T34 85.
With the T34/76 and SU85 changes makes more doctrines viable (not like thats a bad thing, it very good) but I hope you guys get my point.
In short, how do they both compare now?

What is it with all those Soviets UP threads lately? Am I the only one who finds them pretty strong?
I guess its depends on your definition of strong. Personally I find them fine (although admittedly I go maxims against OKW). In other game modes such as 3v3 and 4v4 they are in my opinion the most difficult faction to play as.
Again, really depends on your experience playing as them and against. |
I am finding people being a little over dramatic about the Soviets, they are good its just that as many people said they have a lot of units not up to scratch.
With OKW, saying its an early game advantage is a joke. The only faction with a non-doc heavy tank and units able to reach vet 5 is not an early game faction lol.

The Soviet are fine in most gametypes.
The only thing I say needs a look at are tier one (penals) and tier 4. I personally would like their heavies to pack a more powerful punch but thats just me.
Zarok, you do have the increased suppression and rate of fire bulitins for the maxim as well.
Conscripts in my opinion do fall out late game, if they had a non-doc upgrade would be enough but thats it.
Balord, without the At grenade and at a lesser extent molotovs are almost mandatory for conscripts. I would also say that your little poke at the merge and hoorah ability is quite pathetic.
Just one last thing, this thread reaks of cancer.

I like the idea of suppression and crits.
The area of effect will have to be different for each howitzer obviously.
I always have hate how infantry can stand immediately after a B4 round like they admire the crater it makes.

I would say to reduce the manpower to 260, I find spamming them leaves me without any manpower.
And yeah, their mg can do with a damage buff (mayby a accuracy buff as well but that may be asking to much).
I always thought that having side tech for both the t34 and su 85 would be nice for late game.
E.g Skirts for the t34/76 ( mayby something to improve its speed would be nice as well) and a SU 100 upgrade for the SU 85.
The side updrades are available in the tier 4 building and only new units woild be effected.
Think about it, you go for tier 4 with units effects against panzers and other medium tank destroyers (excluding panther) and once they begin to roll out heavy armor, you tech those units to be more effective.
P.S that also would mean upgraded units will cost more.
Just my thoughts.

To everyone that's is replying to stark if you read carefully you can se he written MG42 no m42 he is talking about the ostheer mg that is fine as it is
(Buy new glasses)
Probably dosnt know that the M-42 exists lol. |
I would just give up on keeping vehicles that saw action in ww2. I went to a armor museum and found out we have a type of vehicle in the game that was not in service till 1954.
The museum also had a SU100, that made me depressed. |
