I am also not saying to remove the insta retreat but asking for a simple vet system to buff his aura or the officer himself. I mean every command unit has a veterancy, why not this one, I don't get yor thoughts there. Because the other command units don't get a bunch of your infantry to retreat when a 80 health model dies. So I'm seconding Airborne. If the unit gets veterancy, it should get veterancy from near by units fighting. Because the unit it self isn't supposed to be in front line fighting. In: COH2 Balance

What I am baffled about is that Relic didn't remember to use the already powerful tool they have at their disposal: crits. If a mine reduces a model below 25%, it should have a 30% chance to kill said model via a crit. With these numbers, there is a rather substantial chance that at least one model of a 4 man squad would die, and sometimes two (provided all 4 are in the blast radius). However, the chance to fully wipe a four man squad even if they are fully clumped up is negligible - 2 times in a 1000 mines hit. And the numbers look even better for larger squads. I dunno man, 1 of 500 isn't horrendous odds for an entire playerbase. Basically a CoH2 game every day would see a squad running over a mine get one-shotted. In: COH2 Balance

It works well for them, but it takes a lot of lethality out of the S-Mine field. WTF Relic pls It was supposed to be just general-purpose mines HAS AN S-MINE FIELD TO EVER KILLED A VEHICLE!? (ok it could actually kill an M3A1 or something but you get what I mean) So now S-Mines really are bad just by paying attention because on the chance you don't for a second anyway the squads that run over them will get suppressed and let you retreat them so they don't kill themselves on it. And the abilities are near useless/very situational, one of them doesn't event work properly. Until relic fixes this unit don't build/bother with it. ( which means never ) Nah, that's the targeted accuracy ability on a enemy unit which is an additive +0.5 accuracy boost, which is largely redundant on units out of cover due to, as mentioned, the already high base accuracy of OKW units. The aura alone won't put OKW units to 100% accuracy against units out of cover and so works fine without any diminished returns. In: COH2 Balance

They're exactly alike, with squads that have the misfortune of being ordered to a location that requires them to pass through the field only getting exclaim to that they hit a mine shortly before all of them hit mines. The most logical of all the solutions. Instantly unblobbable due to the squishiness of Sturms, added opportunity cost (Sturms on antivehicle duty = 1 less squad repairing or laying down defenses or sweeping mines). And yet they can go for one or two Schrecks. The pop difference is important too. A Schreck SP blob leaves more space for their enemies just to get more infantry units to take care of them. In: Lobby
