SU-76's barrage is larger by around 10 I think. I didn't test it too rigorously though so I'd hardly be surprised if it turns the 76's is more inaccurate by a lot... In: COH2 Balance

Sometimes, two consecutive bursts are too short that you can simply get to cover/walk away. This is more annoying when it happens with Maxim because of small arch. Just increase the minimum durst duration a bit. -Slow traverse speed causes microing your MG kinda pointless. -Reload. Sometimes your MG is low on ammo from a previous engagement, when the enemy moves his blob your crew are like HOLLY SHIT WE'RE OUT OF AMMO. We've been begging Relic to fix this since the alpha. Either reload after X seconds out of combat, or add a reload button. Since you have to rely on your MGs with Ostheer more than other factions, these problems make you feel that HMG42 is useless and stuff. I actually really haven't noticed that with the Maxim, but it's pretty clear with the HMG42 because sometimes rarely, it can suppress a squad on the first burst at max range without vet. For that reason it would be super awesome if the HMG42's cooldown and burst durations got flattened and rebalanced so it would act consistently, 'cause that's a super big difference. I think it's like a ZiS-3 barrage with a bit more range and accompanying worsened accuracy at that range. I tried testing the two and a ZiS-3 barrage at max range is about as accurate as an SU-76 firing at the same range. When the SU-76 fires at max range, I saw the barrage frequently miss the center entirely... In: COH2 Balance

Just tested it in CheatCommands out of curiosity myself. Stacked up like 5 Gren squads real close together, at vet 0 it takes at least like 6 seconds for another squad close-by the target to get suppressed (and from what I could tell for some weird reason, only one other squad did) which of course is a fucking eternity that is realistically mostly useless. With vet 3 it'll suppress squads close-by the target in around two seconds, which is about how long it takes for a vet 0 HMG42 to do the same, probably just a bit faster. Maxims will suppress a group if you're a robot that can instantly get the accompanying infantry to immediately fire on what's suppressed and then have the Maxim switch targets. And the group it's against refuses to move at all. In: COH2 Balance

So double MG42s might work early, but you're losing a certain degree of your late-game potency. Then the other HMGs are total garbage late-game because there's no HMG I'd rather have at vet 3 (well, HMG34 is obviously very good at vet 5, but I'll admit that's way less likely than HMG42s to vet 3). At that point, it'll easily use its fire-arc to its full extent, suppress blobs nigh instantly and even pins them pretty fast if they're out of cover. In: COH2 Gameplay

Swap the Penal Battallion and PM-41 Mortar and Soviets could finally have some interdependence in their tiers instead of all of them being extremely narrow. I dunno about that, it'd probably still look like a hunk of junk that can barely penetrate most things on the field while tanks are starting to rampage around so the AT boost to T3 would be pretty minimal. Swapping PM-41 and Penals would be pretty interesting though, there are certainly many times I'd like Penals to have smoke cover for an attack. They're obviously still far worse than Rifles, but if you somehow magically get their flamethrowers in range, they usually do pretty well. And T70 with their scouting ability in T4 would definitely be pure sex. In: COH2 Balance

Maps in some cases are more imba than some "meta" issues. I'd admit it usually isn't quite as frustrating when it happens with the other factions though, considering Ostheer's reliance on combined arms...but that again might go back to their initial MP deficiency exacerbating the problem. Having trouble pulling off the tactics you're made for because of the environment kinda sucks, having trouble pulling off the tactics you're made for because of the environment and you have less units is hell. From 200 per BP to 100 so that you pay 220MP for T2/ and 260MP for T3/T4. I'm pretty sure it's 99% of Ostheer's 1v1 problems and I won't be dissuaded in thinking so until it is fixed! Also because if they're still doing badly after that it would be actual proof against my thinking. In: COH2 Balance
