Imho it's exchanged pen/dmg vet bonuses for (hp) and later arriving acc/rel. The size matters more against medium tanks trying to push it, which is why I don't understand the armor. Cause that also effects medium tanks more than TDs. TDs for the most part won't have too much of a problem with either of those It's far from an OP trait, and if the game actually had side armor I probably wouldn't even be talking about it In: COH2 Balance
Thread: JP4 performance29 Sep 2021, 19:19 PM Never really understood the armor on the JP4. It's a 60 range TD with a relatively small target size and it gets 160HP at vet 2 like you mentioned. Why does it need the armor? I don't think it's horribly gamebreaking or anything, just find it confusing In: COH2 Balance

Because of how long it takes to land. If they added red flares they would need to make it hit faster. Or the ubiquitous squad crawling towards it whilst being pounded with bullets. Nearly got a molotov in my face a little while ago from a pair of squads that OOORAH'd over a mine as well. Still crawling Almost none of my enemies respect this thing unless I have an inf squad with it shooting their face. This can happen to all MGs and it's super frustrating. In coh 3 I would like suppression to inflict heavier penalties to grenade throwing Even the mighty mg42 occasionally gets grenaded from the front. Especially if you encounter that dreaded bug where a suppressed squad takes a few extra steps before actually hitting the ground In: COH2 Balance
