SU-85 fights tanks that actually have armor and number of units it can bounce of is greater then two.
Gun traverse means shit when you are not using AT gun or turreted tank.
Neither of them is a chasing or escaping unit, so acceleration means nothing.
Meanwhile, JP4 faces much weaker at and have incomparably greater armor and scaling then SU-85.
~the more you know~
The SU-85 isn't great against KT's, JPIV isn't very good against IS2's. Shockingly these very similar units that fulfill similar rolls are similar with the JPIV's gimmick being it very easy to preserve due to low target size and good armor, and the SU-85 having insanely good DPS.
And by "gun traverse" I meant the SU-85 can turn it's forward facing gun in a larger arc meaning it's not forced to rotate like the JPIV constantly is.
The SU-85's scaling is extremely good, it's ROF bonus's make it a beast at Vet 2 and 3 allowing it to put out insanely huge amounts of damage due to the fact the ROF allows you to easily put enough shots down range that even the KT will need to think twice.

The first tiers for Soviets and OKW are free so it's more; 120 + 120 versus 135/.66
120 + 120 = 240
135/.66 = 204
