For "AT T-34/76", what roughly speaking characteristics we are speaking about - bad AOE, same mg, same armour and health, same speed, 160 dmg, so what for pen and cost? And don't forget NDA from T3.
Better frontal armor, same health. So say it has like 230 frontal armor (so still easy to pen with dedicated AT guns), but really really shit AoE with 160 damage.
Possibly better MG's. |
The thing is even with the new ~shenanigans~ Soviets really don't lack for anti infantry power at all and the T34 being a dedicated Tank Hunter like it actually was in real life would give Soviets more options, this of course however would necessitate a price increase or it wouldn't be able to have THAT great armor or pen, just better than currently.
And while it is adorable to see you guys slap fight about T34's versus Panther; both fulfilled the roll of Tank Hunter, but what the Panther had that the T34's didn't is a high velocity gun giving it greater pen at longer range. The Panther was also kinda more accurate on the move.

Sov most OP 2v2 huh alex and ostherlitz?
Soviets have literally twice as many games played as OKW in 2's and more than a 100 more than Ostheer.

Then make the 34/76 25 fuel more and make it perform like the tank that it was, the tank that was copied (quite literally with one prototype) to create the Panther. This unit does not need cost decreases, it does not need to go back to old stats, it needs a new lease on life lol. Just like some units that IF alpha tested changes come true to life, will shock the foundations of the "intended role" ideas. Guess the SU76 intended role was to be a target. If it means more fuel cost so be it, but the current state units available on tier 3 and 4 is why the soviets rarley tech unless for Kats or T70.
Making the T34 variants Tank Hunters with no anti infantry power like the Panther would actually be really cool, but would require some testing.
Wrong, they have same AoE radius, but P4 got much better AoE profile and much less distance scatter.
Not really, the differences are really really small:

Would be interesting if CAS loiter had 2 planes and did with Comm_Ash suggest so it's harder to shoot down and does less damage overall. |
The fact that the Panther has higher acceleration and max speed values than the T-34 is completely laughable.
It has literally .1 more in both, and the Panther costs 75 more fuel which is 3/4's of a T34.
Always funny how people get upset that more specialist expensive units outperform cheaper generalist units. |
Which brings it to an expected reload time of 4.6 seconds.
The Panzer IV has, from vet 0, an expected reload time of 5.5 seconds.
Yep, the T34's biggest weakness is it's reload. |
He already cost 25 less fuel than a PZ4 no ?
Yeah. Essentially all the "stock" mediums such as the PIV, T34/76 and Short Gun Sherman are bad versus heavies and mostly best against infantry, the PIV stands out as best because it costs the most.
Still the T34/76 does need help. |
Oh and buffing the coaxial and frontal MG would probably help to, that + better ROF and 10 less fuel would make the T34 perfect for it's intended role. |
Why not just change blitz to not offer any speed bonus's, just a nice received accuracy bonus. So that way it helps preserve your tanks be it running away or charging in but you can't go sanic speed to pull off stupid escapes you shouldn't be able to.
EDIT: That or cause Blitz to give you engine overheated critical after it's done so you can't maintain your speed. |
