The IS-2 feels like a weaker tiger to me in terms of damage but the armor is brutal. It feels like only 25% of all shots won't bounce. IS2 armor is 375/205, better than Tiger's 300/180(by 25%/14%), in exchange Tiger gets 28% higher ROF(5 vs 6.4 avg reload). Quite a fair tradeoff given Axis AT weapon generally have higher penetration values than their counterparts. Panther pen 260/240/220 or 69/64/59% chance of front pen Pak 40 pen 210/200/190 or 56/53/51% chance of front pen Shrek pen 180/170/160 or 48/45/43% chance of front pen P4 pen 120/110/100 or 32/29/27% chance of front pen You have to be shooting IS 2 from the front with a P4 all day to feel like only 25% of shots won't bounce. In terms of its effectiveness, it has a small target size, making it harder for return fire to strike it. It has (relatively) high armor, allowing it to deflect lots of incoming shots. At vet 2, it has permanent su85 vision, as well as the speed to chase down any fleeing tank. All in all, the jagdpanzer 4 is a shoe in, at least for me. You seem to have forgotten that it is a 470 MP 205 F(135/.66, I assume that OKW unit will have their fuel/munition cost normalized) unit(It cost much more than the OKW JP4 and as a result will Vet much slower) and this faction have higher tech cost than OKW? It will come no faster than a Jackson or SU85 for this faction. In: COH2 Gameplay

One thing I'd add to bugs, very often I click the retreat button and nothing happens... With regards to 30 muni abilities... I've not seen them doing heavy engine crits recently at all (there may have been a patch or something to get rid of them), perhaps that's just my experience, I agree with your suggestion none the less. (cool to see my thread mentioned ) I have had Panther & KTs getting heavy engine crits from Cons AT nade in the last few days, don't have the replay handy but they still happen. In: Lobby

You seem to forget USF have 21 pop and large manpower upkeep tied up in Officers and 2X Jackson cost 28pop(more than KT/JT). That extra manpower drain makes whatever dps advantage rifle have irrelevant and Volk blob+ 1/2 Ober will just manpower bleed USF to death. In: COH2 Balance

Exceptions are elefant, su85 and isu with focused vision. And i think only tank that can see 50 is command panther rest sees only 40. It might be a good idea to increase jacksons sight range to 50, 60 might be tad overpowered. Command Panther sight is 55, not 50(Puma/Kubel). All 35 sight vehicle(most non-scout vehicle sight is only 35) under Command Panther Aura(+20 sight) sees 55. Vet 5 Panther sight is 51(35+16), Vet 2 JadgPanther4 sight is 60.75(451.35). Incidentally Jackson do have +30% sight range at vet 2 which boosts its sight to 45.5(351.3)= JadgPanther 4's Vet 0 sight range, problem is with horrible pathing, huge size and shrek blob running rampant you rarely see Vet 2 Jacksons. It is obvious that Soviets and Ostheer are in disadvantage regarding their teching structure right now in comparison to OKW and USA. While OKW has the resource disadvantage justifying a lot of the tradeoffs and specialities of the faction, USA gets free units and further freedom in their teching structure without any apparent justification (apart from desirable faction diversity and the traditional "asymmetric balance" argument; I leave it to everyone to judge for themselves how well done the balance is right now). The officers are not "free units", they carry 21 pop(more than 20% of the total popcap) worth of upkeep drain on US manpower income that goes on all game . In addition US have the most expensive mainline infantry with the highest upkeep/reinforcement cost, the highest fuel wall(65 after deducting starting fuel, compared to 0 for Sov/OKW, whatever BP1+T2 fuel cost is for OST) compared to 50) in front of its AT gun,the least amount of starting fuel(15 vs 40/50). These and the lack of heavy armor are the justification for the US tech structure. In: COH2 Balance

I say the maps and the USF teching needs to be adjusted. You can't just adjust USF teching in a vacuum either, delaying US LT tech would put US behind against OKW as a fast M20 is critical in that matchup(must use the window before first shrek/puma to eliminate Kubel & lay mine) In: COH2 Balance
