Wow, those were insane.
Kinda surprised no-one bothered analysing the games here ^^ haha |
@Greeb
Okay, the first change for the T-70 was required, the 2nd could have been solved by target tables, but it was kinda a problem that paks couldn't hit the T-70 reliably
I don't think Scatter should be increased and the 4th change is probably unnecessary, so yeah, the T-70 could be nerfed until it can't be used ><
As annoying as T-70s are in terms of sniping retreating infantry, I don't believe it deserves the nerf bat that much. |
Meanwhile, lets have a laugh at the joke of asymmetry that Relic said about this game.
Seriously, the more patches and commanders that come out, the less and less asymmetry means. I thought Ostruppen was bad enough. All of a sudden, Germans having cheap infantry IMO killed it pretty much. |
This should be stickied IMO
Good input here.
So that every time relic comes, they see "oh, this is what coh2.org ppl want" |
t-84s still unbelievably op and still literally zero ways to deal with them?
Are p4s still unbelievably op and still literally zero ways to deal with them?
are german MG spam still literally over literally powered literally zero literally ways to literally literally deal with literally them?
Nope, we have a tiger filling that role now
+ more spam |
Soviet t1 and t2 start became viable with last patch, germans can build one more gren lol or get a sniper or mortar without losing much field presence so its a good improvement that changes meta from grenspam/conscriptspam to combined arms starts. If you want just to spam conscripts or grens you can do it but these 500 mp were not meant to be used to spam grens and cons in first place
I'm not sure about that if you can flank VCoH style with everything, its certainly viable.
It doesn't really change it, IMO, it actually reinforces it. |
Everyone is making a big story about 240 MP but what does it mean?
---> It's less than 1 min of MP income, precisely 49 sec.. What is representing 49 sec on a 25 min game? --> 3 % of your early gameplay has been changed, dont tell me this 3 % make ALL the diference.
Accelerating the game by 49 seconds is one step closer to either one of the following
a) clusterfuck
b) Smaller and smaller earlygame, of which was fun.
And 3% is actually noticeable IMO, esp if the earlygame just disappears.
EDIT: It's like saying in chess, the game stars from the 2nd move. You make whatever 1st move regardless of what your opponent does. In a 60 move game, that's less than 3% but it makes it an even worse game. |
As a little aside, whilst I understand and in some parts agree with people who are angry at Relic/Sega, imo the DLC strategy currently employed is a cluster F' and not sustainable long term (hopefully).., insulting individual members of the Relic/Sega team who aren't responsible for it, such as Noun, who is called out in the Youtube video above, is not productive, it is his job frankly and you can hardly expect him to crap on his own doorstep. Whether he truly believes in some of the stuff he says, who knows, but if he posted that the current strategy of his employers is BS and poor for the customer publicly, he'd end up unemployed quick-time and would find it very hard to get a similar job in the games industry ever again.
Same for the balance team, I don't agree with everything they do (such as the balancing of the Dlc commanders), but we don't fully know what the story is in there and ultimately, Relic as a company is responsible. Sometimes you see people calling for them to be fired, which is nuts and a knee jerk response.
Completely agree, I mean initially, considering their earlier work in COH2, I found the release of clearly untested and unbalanced commanders out of character of relic, who seemed to actually care about this game.
It's good that, at least, someone put the right focus at the right place. |
Exact same feel as Ami and Devm. I feel there's just far too many units earlygame on the field with 500MP, esp on smaller maps like Langres and Semois, now it really is a spamfest. |
Exactly what the doctor ordered.
However we still have unused units like the M3 halftrack, which is so weak. It should take 3 pak shots to die not 2.
And the snipers just limit them to 1 or 2 according to how much infantry your enemy has. If his going mass elite grens than a 2nd sniper should be unlocked. And get rid of the 50/50 chance of miss. On retreat the sniper should get heroic armor, thus withstanding 2-3 shots sometimes.
Nah, I think Tommy's solution is better, negative zeal rather than strange unit caps that somehow end up telling you what your opponent has. |
