No, I just don't expect Relic to base their business model around either pleasing me personally nor a fractious and self-important minority.
I tend to assume that if get beaten it's because the other team played better, and that if it Relic aren't doing what I want it's because they know what they are doing better than I do.
But apparently it's easier to blame RNG, Bad Design, X is OP and Relic are stupid for not listening to me for all of those things.

Thats not a minor difference the m10 has a penetration of 140 at long range the puma 80. the m10 can penetrate nearly all medium armour with a usually success rate of 75% against p4's. the puma has only 50 % chance and dont even bother against e8 or 85's . the m10 can conformable snipe enemy medium tanks from range so it doesnt need smoke its simply lot easier to use without it. even then it gains flanking speed which is a smoke of its own . aimed shot is useful but so is ap rounds.
And 7 cp is moment when tanks start to appear. puma has no use early game. safe to hunt that pesky m20 which shreks will deal with anyway. all in all the m10 is the better medium TD by a long shot. denying that is stupid. also lol saying the flak track is good when the usf track has nearly triple the damage and mobility.
The Flak HT is good at what it does. Killing inf.
The AAHT has another role, killing light Vehicle and suppressing inf.
And again, the Puma is not fighting P4 or Panther, isn't it?

All the USF player has to do is get grenades early and your Kubel becomes basically useless, and Sturms need to be right up a rifle squads ass in order to do enough DPS to win in a straight up fight.
USF doesn't really have much in the way of under preforming units, except maybe the Stuart and the .50 cal.
In a 1v1 scenario, at equal cover, Sturm wins vs a Rifle squad at mid range.
The hotwitzer is underperforming for its current cost. The At gun is underperforming. The M36 is underperforming vs Heavy tank and overperforming vs Med tank (Except Panther), etc... |

The KT has more damage, range, and armor because it costs a whopping 650 fuel (adjusted for reduced income).
The reason tanks for USF take more micro is you actually have tanks! The entire point of OKW is you need to desperately stall to get any thing more than light tanks out because you have a large fuel penalty. The reason OKW has things like early access to shreks is because they very first Tank Destroyer you can get out is 265 fuel in the Jadgpanzer! (again adjusted for reduced income)

I never said they didn't require a lot of micro, they do. But if you think managing a fuckload of infantry squads is easy for any faction your delusional. Good micro is needed at high skill levels no matter what faction you are playing, it's the key to success in any RTS.
There isn't some magic increased response time for OKW or Ostheer squads over Soviet and USF squads. If you are lazy and blob no matter what faction you are playing your going to get raped, hard.
Allies versus Axis in randoms perfectly demonstrates the concept of the skill ceiling versus the skill floor. It's easier to play OKW (not ostheer), if you are of medium to low skill and still do okay, but not as easy to play as either of the allied factions. Now at equal high skill levels we can see that pretty much every faction is equal in performance except Ostheer.
And randoms are fucking nightmare in any RTS, which is the reason why I don't play with randoms. Gaben gave us the friends list for a reason my friend!
Micro, cheese and meta is the staple of every single faction in the game period. I don't cheese any more as Soviets than I do as OKW. It's actually kind of more fun to play as soviets since I have a lot more toys in my toy box than I do when I play OKW. It's actually quite fun to abuse the hell out of the B4 and watch your enemies Panthers and Tigers cry as their shots bounce of the armor of my KV1's.
Even Relic stated than Allies need more micro than Axis, especially for the Armor part.
It is easier to micro long range unit, where you can simply focus fire, than "melee" units.

Iv used them and Iv seen them work, So have many excellent players. Have you see what a B4 shot does a horde of volks? fyi the explosion/impact from a B4 has a bigger damage radius than a railway artillery shell and there is no flares to warn your enemy.
The OKW minesweeper also can't pick up democharges till it's way to late due to the minesweepers short range.
Since you got no clue, like most Axis players, I tell why ppl are whining, even if "counter" to OKW blob exists. As long as Axis players (mostly OKW) just need to a-move everything while the Allied players will need to micro far more than Axis, ppl will whine. |
