Thread: Jagdpanzer 4 - Underrated and Underused?13 May 2015, 14:47 PM I think it's just need a slighter longer window after shooting before entering invis, maybe 1-1.5 seconds more, and most important - cooldown on ability, something like 45s, to prevent abuse of manual instant invis after shoot. Invis must be used for ambushes and first shoot, not for preventing response shooting from enemy. Imagen Zis-3 with doctrinal camouflage and same mechanic - shoot, invis, shoot, invis... will it be balance, I don't think so. In: Lobby

The KV and the T-34 had nil impact on the progress of Barbarossa. It did, however, have an impact on the progress of Operation Typhoon. It would be too unhistorical to use the T-34 and the KV as a core tank for a mod. First of all were did you saw that it is mod about operation Barbarossa, author presented it like mod for whole 1941 period, not a mod "Barbarossa only". And I suppose such things/persones like Dmitriy Lavrinenko who fought on T-34, Zinoviy Kolobanov who fought on KV-1 and was a commander of KV company, Constantin Somohin - first BT-7 then T-34, Pavel Gudzya, commander of 5 KV-1, 2 T-34 and 2 BA-10, Alexander Burda and many others, all fought from 1941, are just "parrots myths" or soviet propaganda, so they are unhistorical. That soviet tanks companies wasn't effective in the beginning of WW2, and there was resons for that, like lack of communication devices, outdated tactics, a lot of tanks was abandoned because of bad logistics and etc. All of that doesn't mean that T-34 and KV's wasn't important part in the early 1941 and are unhistorical. Yes, they are almost same, only visual difference is the shorter barrel of 53-K. Even then it could be an F-22 using the same model. M-42, at spring 1942 first prototype, full production January 1943. Thread: 1941 Factions20 Apr 2015, 16:41 PM Yeah, that leaves Guards and Conscripts. Quite the pickle really, the entire Soviet faction needs to be torn apart for a true 1941 faction. I think, in this case, USSR should have liner upgrade system, like OST, with core guards in T2 or T3, and non doctrinal T-34 with KT access model or after expensive upgrade in T3/T4. T0 - eng, conscripts. T1 - maxim, mortar, snipers. T2 - something from BA series, guards, AT gun 53-K (it's easy to make it, it's M-42 with shorter barrel) , Zis 3 with upgrade to med truck. T3 - BT-7, maybe GAZ truck with AA , upgrade for T-34 production. or T4 - T-26, ZIS-30 or just ZIS-2 AT gun BM-8-36 KV-1 and KV-2 doctrinal, most expensive and armoured tanks in the mod, shocks are changed to 6 cons/guards with PPSH and smoke but without armour. But in same time, of course, Panzer 38T and PzKpfw III are non doctrinal core tanks - all seems legit. FaustCostBulletin - you also cant use shocks, technically they are ShISBr, and it was formed in 1943. For light vehicle it could be BA-10 or BA-I. In: Lobby

Most of the field forces were equipped with light tanks during the summer-fall. Only the top crust had the newer models. The mech. corps that had the most of them- Southwestern Front- were quickly beaten in the border battles. Its double standards. Panzer 38T - core, about 600 tanks for 22 July of 1941. PzKpfw III - core, about 1000 tanks in different modifications for 1941 on eastern front. T-34 - rare. There was more than half of mechanized corps equipped with KV's and T-34 (15 from 29, if I remember correctly), some had more then 400, some like 10, but in 5 there was more then 100, of course they wasn't main tanks of this period, but not rare. The core German tank will be Panzer III and Panzer 38T. The core Soviet tank with be BT-7 and T-26. (yes, KV and T-34 tanks were rare minority until Moscow) Not so rare, it was about 508 KV and 967 T-34 build before war (Panzer 38T - 1,414 tanks).
