Yes it was cheap - and it isn't bad thing, it, a actually - good. And it wasn't garbage for mass produced battle tank, cause good tank isn't only gun and armour, it's also production and service.
It's only one thing, if you absolve it from outside. Just look at prototypes from Daimler-Benz. In inside - it has same line-up for engine-transmission cell and leading rollers, torsion bar suspension, large rollers, Daimler-Benz one even had diesel engine. MAN variant was harder to produced, but was more traditional for "German" school. It doesn't mean that Germans just copy T-34, they studied it used it benefits.

what damage those tanks inflict at FAR MED and Close?
If you mean AOE damage from the gun - it's looks very similar, the only difference is that panzer have 160 damage for distance 12, T-34/76 for 10, than both have 54 dmg for range 24 and 8 for 30-40. All the difference against infantry is in much better hull mg and optional top mg from panzer, witch is better than any hull or coaxial mg. |

Maybe upgrade to OT-34/76, which will change frontal mg to flame thrower,
something like 100-120 mu (so you can't spam them), only frontal usage (very small ark), worse flamer characteristics than KV-8, generally - quite bad flamer, but flamer with it benefits. It was one of the most mass produced flamer tank of WW2 - 1170 OT-34/76 and 331 OT-34/85. It will solve - 1.performance against infantry, 2.late game potential, 3. munition float for SU, so you will chose between more mines/demos or T-34/76 upgrade. |

Yes, and for cheaper price (-40mp, -20fu) it get much better gun, 120.0/100.0/80.0 vs 180.0/160.0/140.0 (HVAP - 250.0/225.0/200.0), better speed, yes - it's AT gun, but T-34 gun is quite mediocre against infantry and with crushing it doesn,t matter, better range and rof for exchange of 80 hp, both will blow up from 4 standard shoots.
With the hinted at snare changes next patch it will be even better.
If it will be like in beta, T-34/76 will be even worse position, cause other options are better.

T-34/76 defiantly need something, it's quite nice if you rush it in small games for a couple of minutes, to create pressure, but after that it is close combat tank with standard health, very poor armour and quite bad vet. Vet is main problem in my opinion, you are not reworded to keeping T-34/76 alive and it's quite hard to keep it alive, cause you need to be close to enemy to deal damage, some health on 2 or 3 star would be nice, like +25% hp or +12,5%. Horde bonus looks interesting too. |

In 3v3 and 4v4 coordination and team work are more important than personal skill, if you choose this format - try to commune more with your allies. |
In matcmaking only important is your ladder place and win/lose streak, prestige and hours doesn't meter, however playbase is to small, so it doesn't work properly, you will play against strong and against weak players. You will never evolve until you start to play against other people, even if you lose to ppl above you skill you can still learn from it. 3v3 and 4v4 are mess, but fun mess especially with mates, try 2v2 with friend or try to find someone more experienced to play with, but only 1v1 will give the most experience in the game. |
