In my case this is not an issue of relic servers but of my isp directly.
(Vodafone, until recently Unitymedia)
Since the last 3 weekes I have no internet connection at all for several minutes, which results in disconnects in COH2. I am literally unable to work from my "home office" after 16 o'clock. It is usually better during typical work hours but gets unbearable after 16/17 o'clock. During the "prime time" hours I can't even watch youtube videos because the interruptions are so frequent that is keeps buffering every other minute for several minutes...
I went to the supermarket today and got myself 3 cases of beer and 4 bottles whisky. lockdown is great atm
Same. |
Almost like it works as intended, eh?
I advise you try to use it in its intended role of mechanized weapon team instead of literal plow.
Its unpopular because of its tech.
Its much stronger then Luchs vs infantry.
FlakHT is utterly insane and the most underrated unit in the game imo. Just difficult to use compared to other LVs. No room for fuck ups.
Scott change looks good but the unit will still be obsolete in 1v1.
US still lacks a sniper counter. Give the captain a snipe shot upgrade that locks weapon upgrades and costs ~60 ammo. People need to get the M20 counters sniper idea out of their heads. M20 is good vs sniper opening builds but it's not relevant when fighting a sniper mid-late game. |
Bi*** pleeease. On average 5 second delay when playing with the distant Asia/Australia/South America players. I bless the games with fellow EU/US players. Delay in those games is 0.5-1.5s (avg 1s)
This doesn't really make any sense tho? You always connect to the same servers? |
I'm wondering what amount of delay qualifies as input lag? |
This is actually a nerf. Soviet early-mid game did not get changed that much, so the T70 is still obligatory (even the nerfed version), meaning you still need to spend the same amount of resources as in the live version, but you do not get Mobilized reserves for free anymore after tech up. So you must delay either your first or second T4 vehicle.
T70 isn't obligatory. Not even in the current patch. |
I really dont see any reason to move Assgrens behind t1; Assgrens in their current state are NOT over performing, there completely fine.
And I really doubt that it's a wise decision to do such drastic changes because of 1 op Unit (osttruppen) that is ONLY op in the least played game mode. Right now the 1v1 mode has taken all the team modes hostage.
If you decide to move Assgrens behind t1 then you also have to look at Pathfinders and other allied 0Cp call-in units.
The current change is the one that's drastic. It cripples all T1 skip strategies. Jibbers suggestion literally only affects the problematic units directly as opposed to changing the entire tech price distribution. Assgrens are absolutely overperforming. But tbh that's not even really relevant in the context of this suggestion because you could easily exclude Assgrens if you were convinced that they are balanced in their current state. Jibber only included them (presumably) because the current version also nerfs both Osttruppen and Assgrens.
And please just stop with the "it's unfair, the other side deserves a nerf too" line of argument.

I voted for call-in with T1 requirement.
I'd set it up as follows:
- BP1 cost change reverted from 50 to 40 fuel, fuel cost moved back to T1.
- Osttruppen and Assault Grenadiers require T1 built before they can be called in.
- Assault Grenadier cost from 280 to 260 manpower.
- Recharge times and everything else remains the same.
This has the most benefits and not many drawbacks:
- 2 MG42 + 2 Pio builds and T1 with Osttruppen builds not affected (these are not considered problematic builds, nerfing these would just harm diversity, which is what more expensive Osttruppen / BP1 would do).
- Good timing delay on MG42 + 3 Osttruppen builds (1:53 T1 vs 1:48 35sec 220mp vs 1:35 live). Also, most of the added cost is upfront and the Pioneers will be busy building T1 at the start (all add up to a less oppressive early game). MG42 + 3 Gren builds take 2:42 to field.
- Panzergrenadiers and T2 delayed for Osttruppen and Assault Grenadier builds.
- Wouldn't be just a straight up cost nerf to MG42 + 3 Osttruppen builds, but give access to earlier Faust and T1 units.
Agreed, I don't understand why 2Pio 2MG has to suffer in order to nerf Osttruppen. |
I would really argue about it.
Its still cheaper manpower-wise to get bolster and reinforce 4 squads then get 5th.
Its more muni efficient, because you don't need to upgrade whole another squad, its more pop efficient and it increases repair speeds as well.
Tommies also do not have rec dmg modifier, so each second in mid and late game without it just increases the potential to get them wiped more easily by nades or vehicles.
If anything, there is no benefit to NOT picking bolster and getting additional squad instead.
Can split up more, more brens, more room for pyro, tech is about 1.5 minutes faster (thats a big one). Advantages of bolster definitely weigh more which is why it's meta. In order to make bolster a choice you have to increase its trade offs (increase price by 10-15 fuel so tech is delayed further) All I'm arguing is that the ideas that Brits NEED bolster to "compete" (whatever that means) and that bolster makes balancing brits impossible are both complete hyperbole. Obviously nerfing bolster would go hand in hand with improving brits on other fronts. (revert the completely unnecessary AEC timing nerf, make the first raid upgrade free but not mandatory) |
You would be first player ever we have ever seen who does not get bolster for whatever reason.
Yes, everybody is getting bolster because it is too cost efficient atm as I said. It's just not necessary to make brits work at all like some people claim. |
In my opinnion, this wouldnt work because on one hand most people see it as a mandatory upgrade to compete and on the other would screw with your tech times and leave you very vulnerable.
Bolster being mandatory to compete is one of those typical meta myths that have happened many times in the history of this game. People just repeat the shit they've ehard somewhere else and it becomes this accepted pseudo wisdom. You can just get an extra unit instead of bolster. There's pros and cons to it. Right now bolster is cheap enough to be owrth it most of the time but this could be changed. |
