I said it before and I'm going to say this again: The community devs are quite biased into the Allied favour. The game went downhill when they started with their stuff. Now you have overnerfed Elefants, a StuG that is mediocre at best, all while being stuck with 4 men squads. Ost was about good tanks and small squads. Now it's about mediocre tanks and small squads. I'll let you figure out yourself why this game doesn't feel satisfying any more when playing Ost. In: COH2 Balance

The main problem is the 6 men weapon crews/squads survivability of the Soviets compared to 4 men Ost weapon crews/squads. This means that in the lategame it is extraordinarily hard to wipe Soviets. Sure, you can push off a 6 men squad... but if there is three 6 men squads and multiple 6 men weapon crews, holding the line as a Soviet is incredibly easy. This used to be balanced when Germans had better tanks. But as also seen in this video the Elefant for example has way less utility than the ISU-152. And since the damage nerf to the Elefants main gun the vehicle is so niche and does its job so badly (it can't fight mediums cost efficiently any longer), that there is basically no cost efficient counter to Soviets later on. In short: You can barely push Soviet players of the field, while they have a huge arsenal to insta wipe Ostheer squads and weapon teams, coupled with better TDs and access to huge numbers of mediums. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ In: COH2 Balance

But generally speaking it's just a Panzer IV with slightly better stats with the difference that two Panzer IVs will do the job as well and way earlier. In: COH2 Balance

Germans lack their originally intended tank advantage and have to face superior BARS, Brens and Penals so there is no reason they shouldn't get capable infantry. Mind you that this also forces the Wehr player into a doctrine and denies the MG42 upgrade for Grens. The PG utility isn't that much of a deal for a 340 mp unit that lacks the firepower to fight aforementioned allied infantry at range. In: COH2 Balance

Who loves PVE gameplay just for the reason that it relexes me afther a long day work. I play coh2 with intervals, a few weeks not, then a few weeks intensively. But lately i start to loose interest in the game because i feel that the coh2 policy for balance issues is just nerving units. My problem is, that you give me something to play with, which i start to embrace after a few times playing, and after a while you nerve it to a point that its not worth playing with. For example, the German mortar, German Stug and German AT gun. I don't know when you did it or why, but stop giving things and take it back. Find other ways for balancing and stop breaking the game for casual gamers. I say this as a real fan of the genre and i know i will get a lot of criticism on this post from more "professional" pvp gamers. But it think that PVP playstyle is to dominate ATM at a point that it ruins my beloved game. It's an open secret that most German stuff got overnerfed. Now we ended up with infantry superiority (Brens, Bars, Guards, penals) AND tank destroyer superiority (60 range) all on one side. Having Tigers being oneshot by the endgame is a thing now. And the stuff that actually performed (StuGs) went into mediocrity. And don't even get me started on OKW. No vet advantage remaining, yet no ability to build caches and overpriced units.
