I would say original OKW with it's penalties and all was better. I think that if we revert to that status and make some small adjustments here and there to keep it balanced, it would be a much more interesting faction.
But unfortunately such tentative would fail, because no matter how the resource penalty system will look like, no matter how close to balance would such an OKW be, the allied fanboys will still be jalous on the efficiency of units like obersoldaten, Panther, volks, KT, and others, even if they would be ok in the meta, balancewise speaking.
So, if the majority of players are ok with the actual OKW state, we sould allow it to remain like this. But I doubt OKW will preserve even it's actual status. To many crying babies on forums. |
- Flame grenades is like molotov except these are more expensive
- LeIGs got nerfed back to mortar level without suppression, except they have better range, but no auto-target, so pff..
- Panzerschrecks are 90MU... more expensive than any other handheld AT weapon in the game, also they are no longer given to a 235MP squad
- Why should Trucks need to research their ability? does USF research the officer or LT abilities? No they dont...

- Kubels with suppression were actually more pain for allies. Now they can cap, but they cant really 1v1 with any infantry... maybe only conscripts...
Yesterday ive played with OKW and built 3 squads of volks (just like before the december patch). The guy in the allied team called me a volks spammer while his soviet team mate had SIX (6) conscript, USF had 3 rifle, UKF had 2 commando plus air-officer... people are fully biased these days.. maybe... JUST MAYBE... if relic would be so good and fix the overnerfedsoldaten too, people would not rely on volks so much.
Allied logic: no faction can use cheese or blob except it's an allied faction.
Game is fine. Relic shouldn't listen to much to these complaints. Removing shrecks from volks would be a bad idea. |

Though this patch contains absurd fuel prices, I can't tell it wasn't appropriate. Time will tell. So I have no biased attitude towards this verry issue.
You're telling an allies player to build side upgrades to "react" to Axis build. So as an Allies player I have to think about what an Axis player builds. But as OKW, it's okay just to blob volks? I just click panzershrek upgrade if I see vehicles? So much for foresight and adaptability.
So everything I mentioned are "side upgrades". Bazzokas, captain, ZIS, AT grenades. I see.
From where I am standing, this rather looks like refusal to adapt your playing style and BO in connection with what your opponent is doing. You just want to keep your build order and that's it.

The centaur is soooo much slower than ostwind. The AOE feels better and having the blitz (and smoke) makes it ez to keep alive. I think its fine, it does it job
So it's job is to move better than centaur and stay alive. Nevermind it has a popcorn shooter instead of a gun. |

Maybe. You played OKW after these changes? I didn't. After playing it, we'll see if this change is such a drawback. Of course some units' cost fuel seems absurd - 150 fuel for a panzer 4 - but if it's cheaper, it will ruin their precious 4v4 games because allied cheese is currently negated.
It's not that we are not used with skyhigh prices in Axis' case. We will just have to deal with it. |
Ya know, something told me that you will be supporting any kind of buff for this unit.
Because it's needed, and I don't see any reason to keep it as it is now especialy if we compare it to other units that have the same purpose, in other factions. Can you be so kind to explain why it shouldn't be buffed? |
Because it does not need a buff. Don't buff/nerf something what is in perfect spot.
There is weird tendency to buff units, which are fine, becasue they are not OP.
For example.
Brummbar and Bulldozer are far away from being OP and far away from being UP. They are in perfect spot. Just like Ostwind. We don't need killing machines. We need normal units with quite reasonable and constant damage.
I guess Centaur is also in a perfect place, huh? Comparing to Ostwind. |
Yep, now OKW vehicles cost a ton of fuel less than when 66% fuel penalty was in place, as others in this thread have stated.
Unless the units that can be build from tiers remains the same. Hm. I guess we'll see how that will work out. |
