And OKW has the best AA unit. It's called 251/17. That's the unit to counter planes. Not Schwerer. That's the counter play.
If it would be enough, yes. But with a sky full of planes not even that best AA unit it's enough protection.
Further, OKW, as I said before, cannot retaliate with the same weapons, so if you force an OKW player to build the AA HT he can't force you to build an AA vehicle because he has no viable air strikes. |

It's like saying that USF and SU need heavy At gun because they don't have non doc heavy tank.

What I said is that OKW needs its powerfull AA features that you don't like at all, because they need to defend against powerfull air strike abilities that allied field. Your example with USF and SU isn't valid, because any ground unit has counterplay with the existing tools in the game, heavy or not heavy. The skillplanes have no counterplay if not countered by proper AAs and not popcorn shooting pipes.
Finaly, to answer your question, I have nothing against supply drop planes, but the problem can be solved without nerfing to nothingness the AAs, by simply making the supply drop plane more resilient, increase its speed or making it come from a controlable direction.
From all the possible solutions you picked - what else indeed - the nerf hammer.

How they will perform in 2v2?lol. That's the point. They can't perform at all against planes. There is not a single reason why OKW should have free AA.
Just lol or not lol, give OKW let's say... 2 abilities like these for instance: Henshell AT attack, and 50 kilo stuka dive bomb. And you can remove the AA from T4 and transform the base AAs in bunkers. |

Step two: buff bundle grenade AOE. That would not be a big deal, its usage becoming even more rare, because there are 2-3 unit types in the whole Axis army (including both factions) that will be using it. Stormtoopers, Falls... and can't remember any other right now.... |
Well, OKW doesn't have viable air attack abilities, the existing ones are not even close from allied abilities in this area, especially USF and UKF. So I think their AA capabilities must be better than ostheer's. And they are.
Isn't this how it's supposed to be? Especialy when you have on the field exposed trucks.
Allied off maps abilities can be overhelming, so proper counters should exist. You want skillplanes running wild just because they cost 200 amo?
And if in 4v4 (good thing that we don't have 5v5, 6v6, 10v10, etc) these "free" AAs are so effective, if they are nerfed, how they will perform in 2v2s? Or 1v1s? The number of planes is the same, you know.
Furthermore, there is a question of proportions. If there are 3 Shwerers on the field, and one of the players use a skillplane attack ability, it's quite obvious that alote of planes will fall and this will diminish your air attack power. But if 3 players are using the skillplane ability in the same time, what would be the impact? You won't even notice that there are 3 Schwerer on the field.

Not a great system here eather, AMD Phenom II 965, Saphyre Radeon 280x OC 8GB RAM. Game's installed on a SSD.
I have to admit that my previous GForce videocard had far more problems with the game that this one.
Anyway, besides the verifyed fact that Gforce videocards do not like this game in general, since every patch things are going worst, it is clear that it's about optimization. Issue that Lelic is verry vague about. I would even say they wouldn't care to much, since this should be a priority even before balance.
You guys are running at max settings games that require a much better system than COH2. Even my close to obsolete system is capable of running Fallout 4 on medium settings with no problem at all at a high resolution, and on high settings it still manages the game at an acceptable level, but when it comes to coh2.... imput lag, strange colors, etc.

I still won the game but it felt so hard.
Could this be the "problem" in fact? No more easy wins for USF / UKF? That actualy now they have to work hard for their wins as OKW and Ostheer did? |
