Thread: Button12 Aug 2014, 10:35 AM Considering the mighty ATs that soviet guards are equiped with, , I think it should stay. Soviet infantry needs to have SOMETHING to bother the tanks a little. More than this, there are 2 more reasons to keep it: 1. Whithout DPs you cannot button and DPs are not cheap; 2. You cannot kill a vehicle with it unless you used combined arms (button is pinning the vehicle while othe AT weapon is firing at it) which is a proof of "combined arms" thinking (a bit rare in the soviet spam faction ). from realistic point of view, yes, it is stupid. Thread: Green Cover12 Aug 2014, 08:21 AM If I understood the topic corectly, it's not about positioning the squad in the green cover in a wrong way, but rather about green cover not functioning as well as before while the squad receives fire from an HMG. If this is the problem then yes, I observed this thing too. My squad taking cover after a wall or something that provides green cover, and getting supressed as quic as they were in yellow cover. Not one squad member was outside green cover. Did something change related to this?! In: COH2 Gameplay

Thread: soviet cheese11 Aug 2014, 08:31 AM Isn't a little bit to much to blame people using one strategy or another? Why should they play with the units you want them to play? They play to win, so the best solution is finding counters against these strats. I agree that the hardest strategy to counter for the okw is this excessive maxim plus mortar tactic, but there are ways. Some people are going heavy t3 wich gives you the AA - which is a good early counter and later the wurframen. Others are going for fast pz2. Related to armor, all your volks need to have schreks, with no exceptions and they must not be to spreaded. Untill panther arrives, okw at units like Pumas, volks or raketen must work together to keep the pace with the soviet armor which is even more difficult than dealing with this maxim spam. In: Lobby
