Irrelevant, proven by panther.
175 is 175 and performs like 175, not like 250.
260 is 260 and performs like 260.
Penalties limit the armor presence, not its effectiveness.
Its superior to IS-2 and tiger and cost reflects it.
Well the only logic you are able to see is yours, as allways. So we'll just agree to disagree. |
It got 50% more dmg then IS-2, incomparably less scatter, more HP, lets not compare penetration.
Seems rather wroth the extra 30 fuel for a unit that is much more lethal, more durable, slower and non doctrinal.
The fuel difference is bigger if we are to consider the fuel penalty + lack of caches option. |
Lol wut? What is wrong with King Tiger? Buff it? Its still the best heavy ingame, even it needs massive teching unlike IS2. I cant believe people bitch about KT after armor nerf, which was a good change. Do you really want to bring back old KT WutFace
The nerfing of its armor was good. The maintaining of the exactly same price was bad. |
To be honest, I don't find the KT worth it. Rather have 2 panthers!
Same here. They should do something with the KT IF they want to be used again. |
I can't count the times deep snow, ice and this kind of things made me wanna throw my PC of the window. BUT I am all for not removing them from game.
COH is more than just an APM game. A top/very good/very experienced player has to know how to use everything, from units combos untill terrain and tactics. Caught in deep snow? Then you did something wrong from strategic point of view. I'm not talking about some maps where deep snow is silly positioned but about situations in which you willingly enter by risking to go in deep snow to obtain something (reach a building sooner, cap a point before your opponent does, etc). If you are surprised while doing so and your squad get wiped, it's kinda your fault. Even the retreat path can be calculated. It's like tanks on ice. Can I shortcut through here now?Do I take my chance with this expensive tank? If you do, you are not entitled to protest against how ice work if your tank got sunk by a mortar. You risked and you lost, as simple as that. |
There is nothing wrong with FRPs. They have their downsides and risks. For instance, have you ever played OKW with FRP against a hard 120 mm and katiusha soviet? It's a pleasure, believe me. You will beat any curses number/minute record.
Besides that, I don't understand the people who want that all units and faction features resemble one to another instead diversity.
Let me tell you this: I'd rather have a slightly unbalanced game with verry different armies than a perfectly balanced game with armies that look the same.

Thanks for the enlightment, guys. This can be a good reason to play the Opel Blitz/Tiger Doctrine.
If you manage to hide your Opel very well you can prevent those dirty cutoffs.
It reminds me of the good old times where I put my Vampir right beneath the enemy's base in Semois
Me and my team used vampire alot in 3v3s in vCOH. That was the best cheat detection weapon because:
Verry few opponents realised what happened to their resources and begun to search the vampire. When they realised, if instead searching they were going directly to that map corner/limit where you hidden the camo vampire (without having met the vampire in its trail or without seeing it somehow before it was camouflaged), it was quite clear what was going on.
But in fair games a well manned vampire was invaluable. |
Really? So if my main cutoff point is neutral but has an Opel Blitz parked in it, the other territories will still provide ressources?
Indeed. It's something I found out verry late, too. |
Whenever someones pulls the "it's historical accurate" card, threads get derailed.
No, it only gets derailed when untrue or stupid things comming from ignorance and historical bias are claimed because someone will eventualy come to give the correct info, but an idiot cannot go down without a fight so he will fight to the death. That is why "historical" discutions are derailing the threads.
Example: An idiot comes and say that T34 > Tiger. Then someone who knows comes and prove from technical point of view that T34 was no match for a Tiger. The idiot has no argument except calling the second guy a nazi fanboy. And there goes your derailed thread. |
We have played with the changes already. It was a tiny bit stronger in alpha, but it also got cost increase.
With its survivability and pen going up and cost staying on current level, it becomes most cost effective TD in game, unless you believe 10 range less then 60 to be worth 35-45 fuel and much bigger menpower price(jackson, SU-85, JP4).
I'm not saying it will be OP, but there is quite high chance for that, given fastest vet speed and best vet1 ability in game a TD could have.
Best vet 1 ability? What about the ability of spotting for itself that SU-85 has? Is that a weaker ability? Like any other TD, it will be hardcountered by cheaper units. As long as SU-85 isn't OP, nor should be the Stug. |
