T2 + T4 + Counterattack Tactics Doctrine thank you everyone for all your suggestions, especially ohme! I will have to test these strats out. What makes counterattack doctrine optimal for combined arms, ohme? I don't have it but maybe I will have to get it |

I am not sure about the numbers so vet changes may or may not be a good idea. But this is for highly vetted squads only so I think we would not see a huge game changer, just a small one. The player would have to build more conscripts during the game, and need the tools and skills to keep them alive til late game in order for these benefits to kick in. but Cannonade, I think what you are saying about grens getting upgraded because cons get upgraded is unreasonable. the whole point of helping cons late game is that they retain their usefulness. Molotov and AT nade drop off once the high dps infantry and high armor vehicles roll out. All the work that the player puts in keeping their cons squad alive quickly evaporates. Grens get the LMG upgrade which increases their damage a lot. I would say their usefulness significantly goes up, while cons squads flat line around mid game In: COH2 Balance |

It is also a good reminder for all that we want changes for vetted cons (I hope I am capturing the general tone of this thread). Having them at vet 3/2 and around all game long should be rewarded/incentivized. early/midgame con squads are ok and I don't think anyone wants to change that. Also, no one is suggesting that conscript squads just roll over all other infantry late game, just a modest upgrade/stat boost for vetted infantry In: COH2 Balance |

I've got mixed experiences and opinion of AI. If a player drops straight away as the game loads, the AI usually sucks for whatever reason. If the player drops half way through the game, the AI is usually fairly good. I've also noticed, that the higher the level of the person who dropped, the better AI is. really? holy smokes ti will have to try that. I also agree about the ability of the ai at different points of the game. It is easy to roll over the ai right a the beginning, but the longer the game runs/accumulation of units, the better the ai seems at managing those units In: Lobby |

don't worry, i don't think anyone wants to buff cons to the point whee they can a-move and destroy everyone. Changes will obviously come to other units to help smooth things out. I think the concept behind buffing cons is that they are the main fighting force of USSR (their descriptions says they are the core of the Soviet army). They should be useful late gae and not just utility units. obviously, you are bound to replace your crappier units for elite units, but cons supposed to be the heart of USSR and are built early in the game in somewhat significant numbers (2-3). Thshould be some kind of reward for keeping these units alive and vetted. When people say they are good meat shields, this is kind of silly. Other units die as well just like conscripts. Conscripts are also very fragile even with vet3. In: COH2 Balance |
