You got 2 units, one equipped with free unlock tools and the other one only with superior raw power, how can you just state that the 2nd units is better than the first one? Volks lose to Riflemen if they aren't allowed to use their tools given freely or given after teching but how is it a fair comparison?
So why suddenly Riflemen +2BARs are becoming the best mainline infantry in your story telling? Why Riflemen should be accounted with dual BARs on late game for their power evaluation but Volks keeped naked early on for the same purpose?

IS do win vs Obers at long range, fortunately for the latest they're hitting the field with grenades to assault the position and denying cover to IS also decrease their firepower. Now follow the same logic with Volks and Rifle and you'll see the flaw in your comparison.

Your math only checking attitude make you miss half of the vision of the game.

Everything wrong blaming the faction when playing poorly and not being able to analyze a simple situation:

• Crossroad gives a lot of fuel, I decided to go 2xRE to get more capping power at cost of firepower
  
• I only build 2 riflemen squad vs 4 gren
  
• he see my lieutenant but still build a sniper
  
• Obviously no grenadier cover for the sniper and probably used as a-move without using green cover
  
• No 222 to counter the M20
  
• Blaming the faction when he poorly managed his HMG.42 which was completely disconnected from his grenadiers
  
  

Stug was much more dominante during the old meta where Ostheer early game was under-performing for the sake of balance.
Since Ostheer early game is much more easier to pull off, there isn't that fuel difference anymore that forced the player to build a Stug to counter first medium. The Pz4 hitting the field sooner is leaving the Stug as an emergency unit.
- If you lose your 1st Pz4 extremely quickly and need something to counter mediums tank.
- If you lose early game by a huge margin that you can't build a Pz4 to counter 1st opponent medium tank.
- If you go Ostwind first and suddenly need AT to counter unexpected medium (losing your pzgren shreck squad for example)

Stug is in its right spot at the moment, a unit you're more than happy to have for quite a cheap price on your stock roaster if you really need a mobile medium tank counter.
Before asking to modify the unit, just ask yourself why would you build a pure AT unit as first medium tank? If you can have a Pz4 that can do both AT and AI and hit the field around the same time as other medium tanks.

Im suggesting it cost 155-160 fuel so i don't see why it having better moving acc than cheaper mediums that can also fight infantry is asking so much

Your suggestion is stupid. If you're not killing the unit, you're killing the faction with such change. Jackson being what it is is a faction issue, be sure that if the Jackson could be nerf as such the balance team would have performed it 6 months ago.

I let you check how many infantry squad you get with other factions, hint: approximatly the same. USF/Oshteer matchup is balance but I fail to see who's not doing 4 gren or rush Pzgren for a similar result of 4 infantry squads supported by 1 or 2 hmgs.
What I find quite funny about the actual situation is that couple of years ago, USF was hated for being tide to only be able to spam RM and seeing that today its the complete opposite. 4 IS, 4 volks, 4 gren but not more than 3 rifles and only 2 if you think you can make it.

I ws not talking about VonIvan strategy but pointed out that with 3 riflemen he couldn't force a retreat of a single Sturm squad on early game.

They'll continue to give officers for "free" even if we told them X times that is a really bad idea. As for the solution to get out of this situation, let's see what they'll do.
