Oh, really? So what are you telling me it's that (not reffering to this case necessarely) for a pile of mp and fuel I should get something verry questionable? If so, then thank you, I will chose a cheaper unit that actually can be used even if it hasn't this "performance". It would be much more "echonomical wise".
I think you shouldn't bother, they are too busy blobbing double BARs right now and rushing WC51, and are happy that OKW is slightly nerfed. Nobody cares about Wehr, which is now in dire trouble against early WC51. But you know, hey, German players have to shut up. I stopped posting in this forum a while back, when i saw allies crybabies reigning supreme. Not that anyone cares, though. The patch seems good otherwise, quite a few interesting ideas and features. It's just bad that Wehrmacht is impacted by Oberkommando (much needed, i can agree with this) nerfs. |
The reason is very simple, at the time of multiplayer, which is 44-45 Luftwaffe was at its prime, allies or soviets could not launch normal day attacks without heavy losses, this is why allies have berely any plane based off maps, while axis have plentiful with 2 exclusively luftwaffe oriented doctrines, it is also why all axis air strikes are more cost effective, maybe except SCAS vs P-47.
Oh wait...
Reading lesson of the day:
Luftwaffe Ground Forces Doctrine.
The only German faction that is 1944-1945 is Oberkommando (or maybe you are playing another game? Would explain a lot actually), please list all the air strikes the faction has. One paratroops drop, that's it. |
Oh look i play axis, i feel so special.
See what I did there?
Yeah yeah, you good at repeating. Can you do more ? Oh wait, too busy praying for a Kubel nurf, rite ? See, i can be an arrogant dick like you. |
If the Kubel caused a flood of tears, I can't even imagine the size of the body of water maxims and ISU has created for you and the other Wehraboo hordes.
"Oh look i play allies, i feel so special." |
1. Removed shrecks for OKW volks and in exchange for faust/anti-tank grenade and assault package (stg44 + MP40).
2. 3-men Sturmpios with pre-nerf dps but with current received accuracy of 0.8 at 280MP
3. Revised OKW veterency especially OKW (vet 3/4/5) elite infantry Falls/Ober (make them less superhuman)
4. Walking stuka needs AOE nerf and increase scatter with range
5. Flak halftrack ROF decrease by 1/2 and FU increase.
6. KT cap to 1 per player. Jagdtiger 1 time call-in like Tiger Ace.
7. shrecks penetration nerf to 160/140/120.
8. OKW to receive 100% MUN and FU and scale all units and upgrades to cost 33% more. Grenades and other MUN abilities to be unadjusted to prevent hampering of MUN based abilities. MUN and FU conversion to adjust accordingly
9. OKW now requires to build sWS trucks for 200MP, 40s buildtime. Cost of Building T2&T3&T4 is adjusted. No more early game truck pushing.
10. Kubel stats nerf - DPS, acceleration, target size. It nows require 3 sec setup time.
11. Puma penetration nerf from 160/140/120 to 120/110/100. I find it odd that 50mm cannon could outperform a 75mm StugIII cannon

Only happened to me when i launched CoH2 without Internet connection active. The game wiped my loadouts. Never happened to me since, but i also make sure INet is working before accessing the game. |
It is simply boggling me how people are dumb enough to whine for across the board BIG NURFS when it has been proven time and time again that the only way to balance things in a RTS is to adjust thing with baby steps. The guys will recognize themselves. I'm just glad people like these have no decision powers whatsoever, as they are only able to break things, and nothing else. I'm done with this thread. |
I seldom see more than 1-2 KTs in a 3v3. But what's happening is, unless I am missing something else, the Soviet players are building more than 5 t-34s, but by the time the KTs come out, they've already lost a couple. If there are 4 KTs in a 4v4, that means that likely each OKW player was saving for it. So why are there only 5 t-34s? Because some of them were lost, I'd assume. Losing vehicles is punished MORE in a situation where fuel is diminished. It's spent fuel that you aren't getting back. The players who saved their fuel for the KTs are still getting those KTs out, but there will be even fewer tanks opposing them in a low-fuel situation.
Except that you don't understand that saving for whatever heavy tank you desire would take twice the time needed with a 50% penalty. The idea here is to avoid a critical mass of heavy tanks, which are unstoppable once they support each other, or at least that's how i perceive the problem in 4v4.
What is really good with generic ratios like these, is they can be tweaked at will. If it requires to give a 70% penalty in 4v4 to have more infantry-centric games, then so be it, a simple number value to change and we're good to go.
The real problem is not that Axis armor is OP in itself, it is that the game format allows Oberkommando to get far more ressources than what the faction was designed around (Wehrmacht caches, map control being easier to protect with team mates, etc..), which enables the undesired side effect of having several KTs hitting the field (or JTs, whatever). Think about it this way: with a fuel penalty of 50%, a KT would be equal to 520 current fuel, and a JT 580. Don't tell me that it doesn't give allies enough time to mount a decent offensive on the map centered around MP units (and a few tanks also which would be mostly uncontested, since the axis are saving their precious fuel for their heavies).
At the very least, it would widen the window of opportunity. Or maybe you think that axis infantry is the problem in team games, in which case everything i'm reading about 4v4 balance issues is crap or off the mark. |
Funny how all those OKW threads popped up as soon as Kubel was buffed, but to be fair, allies were already complaining about Oberkommando in large team games before the last patch. So it is time to fix 3v3 and 4v4, without breaking what is already somewhat balanced. 1v1 and 2v2 balance threads are relatively quiet lately, so things are maybe fine, except Kubel ofc.
Time to fix 3v3 and 4v4 maps, so it isn't heavy armor spamfest anymore: reduce fuel income for those maps' captured points, or establish an overall debuff on each team fuel income depending on the game mode: 100% for 1v1 and 2v2, maybe 75% for 3v3, 50% for 4v4 ? It would not require altering the maps in the automatch cycle, would be fair for everyone, and would bring more focus on infantry combat in those modes. Or it would have the opposite effect with people building a shitload of fuel caches instead of infantry with all that spare MP they would have, but it would give an edge to the team that invest that MP into actual fighters, imo. |
Endless argument about who was the best during the war. I'll just add one grain of salt to this: Germans have won the soldier victory, while the Allies have won the diplomat one.I guess odds aren't really in your favour when your high command have erratic decisions, split you one day only to regroup you the next with a new objective, then halt everything to help a useless ally 3000kms away.
All the while being under air pressure from basically everything that could fly from USAF and RAF, destroying your industry power. Still, Wehrmacht held their ground, advanced and conquered in every corner of Europe. Their weapons were ahead of their timeframe (as the war began, and were matched / outclassed in the end only), their soldiers were trained professionals who had plenty of time to prepare the 1939-1941 offensives while most other armies relied on conscription. The difference was very high and explains most of the first lightning victories.
That being said, the fact that it required intensive effort from almost everyone on the allies side + resistance of the first conquered countries to stop the german war effort only highlight how fierce it was. Noone think the allies were the underdogs, germans were, and by far, despite having started the whole thing. This vision of the faction is, i think (and also the esthetics), the reason why people prefer playing with them. Wehrmacht was just a tool for the nazi party, and was betrayed. People admire the tool, but that doesn't mean they admire the owner. |
