What I would do is make T34s scale A LOT with veterancy, that way you could use them early and be rewarded for preservation but it will prevent you from spamming them.
Like, at vet1 should always win vs P4, at vet3 should trade blows with a Panther.
This is valid for all tanks all factions anyway, preserve your midweight tanks and get vet on them and they will be able to stand up to heavies.
Am i allowed to laugh at your suggestion ? T34 always winning vs P4 ? In what world do Soviets need a buff versus Wehrmacht ? |
Schrecks are weaker than ever, since the penultimate patch. That greatly decreased their accuracy on range.
The latest patch decreased the dps and veterancy-accumulation of Paks.
Ostheer AT has never been weaker. Suddenly Schrecks need to be decreased in performance (again).

Hello folks, it has nothing to do with the latest update, but a long time ago, i noticed that Artillery Officer tooltip showed a 6 popcap value, whereas it uses 9 once called-in. After every patch or so, i use one of the commanders that has that squad, and notice the tooltip has never been changed. Though i do not think the unit deserves that high of a popcap, but that is more a balance suggestion. |
All right guys, thanks for the input, it was very valuable since i clearly didn't have time to beta test myself.
So to summarize: balance is still somewhat OK, except maps that favor long range (advantage Axis) and maps that favor CQC (advantage Allies). If i understood well. If those are the only noticeable change, then i guess nothing is that different than pre-patch (except squads AI, and the heavy tanks that got nerfed). I feel better now, i was afraid to discover that Wehr was completely broken.

Balance is pretty okay now if you ask me.
Maps are a bigger problem. Can't really think of a single one that does not favour at least on faction.
Would you care to explain a bit ? How has the patch had so much impact on maps, and why ? |
Thanks for the first inputs, it seems it isn't as bad as what i thought at first glance. Still i'm worried for how Grens are able to survive until they reach vet, especially now the BAR is very strong. |
Hello there, i didn't take the time to DL and test by myself the latest build (which is on Beta server). As a mainly Wehrmacht player, i was kind of afraid of the changes to PAK firstly, and the return to 0 CP for the WC51 dodge, i felt like the faction wouldn't hold a chance anymore versus early game light armor spams (and double BAR spams). Maybe some of you who actually tried it could enlighten me ? It felt like most of the other changes were on point with what the game needed (ISU, JT, better infantry cover usage, lots of little balance tweaks here and there). Is my faction broken ? Shall i take the time to try and test it myself, when my RL is currently very time consuming and i can't commit that much time just for the sake of testing ?

Having farmed countless hours (1000hours +) when i was more eager to earn useless stuff for this game, i can report my average time is 1h30 to 2h per drop, and if longer time is spent without a drop, it averages rather quickly with games earning 2 to 3 drops, for a grand total average of 1hour and a half per drop. I stopped caring a while ago, since it was 90% duplicates at some point.
It would be better if each game earns you points you would spend in some kind of 'online shop' where you choose what you get, be it skins, faceplates, bulletins, or commanders (of course with correct pricing, to keep things fair). It would actually lead people to play more than this pure luck-based system. But whatever, we deal with it. |
