Haha. You ain't kidding. While I am super glad the USF got some love with a new tank and more importantly NEW INFANTRY (so I don't have to keep playing with riflemen, riflemen, riflemen, riflemen, riflemen, riflemen, riflemen, riflemen, riflemen, riflemen...you get the point)...I don't know if my little USF heart (which is fragile to begin with) can handle anymore OKW flames. A small portion of me dies inside everytime a flame grenade annihilates a bunker, AT crew, or MG team. I just don't know how much left I have in me. Lol.
I'm not implying they're OP...just that they are simply...incredibly and undeniably effective. It makes me sad that I have to sometimes throw 3 hand grenades and waste tons of munitions to displace a garrisoned German MG, while the OKW can throw one hand grenade and have it be 100% effective every...single...time.
Like molo always did for 15muns? |
And why are you ranting so much? I see that you are German, but Coh was always about that pseudo-authenticity, you should have already figured it out. Festung Armor and Jäger Armor may be incorrect but for non-native speakers (or at least for me) they doesn't sound cringeworthy, but kinda cool.
I Support the idea, Let's rename Panzer 4 to tank 4. |
Yes, its fine, because slower tanks aren't usually sitting on the rear of faster tanks, unless you have learned how to a-move while reversing.
And if you want to theorycraft, then here is some food for thought for you:
222 can kill ISU from behind, it can also kill IS-2 that doesn't have DSHK pintle upgraded by circling it.
I suppose its high time we finally nerfed that imba 222.
No, it doesn't work that way.
No amount of testers will even provide accurate feedback that would prevent all and any imbalance, ESPECIALLY if relic does balance changes between the closure of alpha and release of the game.
You don't release a whole new army and expect it to be balanced right out of the bat, because its impossible.
Yea you cant Expect from a tester to find stuff like sniper ingoring retreat Bonus, bofors and centaurs wiping squads in houses in 2 seconds, or that croc with 1600hp might be a bit too much? Concentrated arty doesnt Need los and comes really really fast but hey these Werent obv at all, right? Most balance issus Arent some secret Strat or a special combination of units which would make find op stuff as Tester harder.
Just look at Cruzz Bugs List, brits have so many things which got taken away from every other faction.
Just Accept they do this on purpose for the moneyz and go on.. |
You guys should start playing the game.
Even if a few DLC commanders are/were slightly op that doesnt mean that you cant win witout them.If you are willing to learn how to improve you can beat any player with any commander, yeah it might be a bit harder but OP or unbeatable ? LOL
People complain about any unit if they dont know how to counter it in that moment and if its a DLC unit they instantly shout "P2W!!"
#Adapt
WhY dont we stop balancing at all? For 95% of the player base the current state of balance will only slightly Decide the outcome of a game. Why does lelic put so much EffOrt into it when we juSt should #adapt? |
To be able to even compete on tournament level in any serious way, you'd have to know and play all armies anyway, so how is it relevant in any way?
Also, you have no slightest idea what P2W means until you play mobile multiplayer game or F2P mmo.
You can really take my word on this one.
Competitive people always spend more money and time on their activities, it doesn't matter if its gaming(item shops, DLCs), sports(equipment of higher quality, proper clothing) or even friggin chess(guides, strategy books). It doesn't matter what you do, if you want to do it on competitive level, you WILL have to pay more.
If you're casual, you play with what you have and don't give a shit, so I don't really see your point.
Even oh so glorified SC2 shoves 40 europ expansion down your throat for a SINGLE new unit for armies, they don't give a shit you don't play sp campaigns, you're forced to buy it anyway if you want to stay competitive and up to date and they do it for well over 15 years now, since brood war.
P2w= paying for ingame Tools which are affecting gameplay. If the bought commander is op or not does not matter. You can get an advantage ingame with real life money =pay to win.
Dont take the Word 'win' to serious, it's a synonym for advantage.
(And yes im playing/played alot of P2w games)
Edit: only talking about commanders, faction Releases are expansions/addons |
How about something like allied warmachine from vcoh in soviet industry? Just an idea |
It's adds more combined arms on the battlefield if you reward full tech. Balance becomes better because counter units will be avaible. |
Hell you could give the SU an IS-3 and it wouldn't cost Relic money. They already have issued the 2 IS-2 commanders and I dont' think anymore will be coming. IS-2 call in would still be worth it in Shock rifle if you wanted to avoid cost of teching T4 similar to current Shock Rifle meta of KV-8/IS-2s.
What this would promote is more teching which I think most would agree is a good thing. Only having 1 extra unit wouldn't rob Relic of commander special units either.
Like i said i Support your idea, many pros / few to zero cons! |
We already have this with OKW who can build the KT once they tech all their buildings. People are always complaining about Call-In Meta and how cheap it is that some commanders/factions can get away with barely teching and they have good points. Why not give every faction it's own T0 tank/TD as a reward for teching up throughout the game.
USF-Jumbo Sherman (They don't need another TD as much as they could use better late game main battle tank)
UKF-Archer tank destroyer (They could use an alternative to their only other true AT tank the Firefly, also it was a very unique and effective unit)
USSR-KV-1 except not full of suck like it is now. This tank needs to be in their main arsenal to give them a main battle tank that can actually take punches which the 34/76 isn't remotely close to doing. I could also go for T34/85 since they were built in even greater numbers than the 34/76 by the end of the war.
Ostheer-Hetzer I'm sure it won't happen now that the Flame Hetzer is coming to the OKW, but this would be great to see in the Ostheer arsenal and would provide a good mix of AT/AI/ambush capability that overlaps too much with the JPIV of the OKW to be added to their stock arsenal. I also wouldn't mind seeing a Marder III but I don't think it would get built much as the Stug already fills the turret-less long range TD role nicely.
I try not to make pipe dream posts but I know this probably won't happen. However, there is no reason it couldn't be implemented and Relic has shown willingness to make changes to core army composition such as removing the Sturmtiger from OKW T4 and placing in the PIV Ausf. J.
I like the Basic idea. I would like is/Tiger/pershing thought. This could bring great variety to commanders and would free up the choice.
Still, Wont happen because Relic needs the money |
Angoville, arnhem, semoski Winter but I guess just Bad luck that they were all ally sided. (Keep in mind many ally Tools were Banned like units and commanders!)

I would like to go in Detail but everytime something is off balance in these games you compared on a high skill level (aka tourney or leagues) it gets adjusted and fixed, thus Proving my point.
Maybe im overseeing some Data Relation or so but I fail to see it
