Yes because demo dies to small arms.
Or maybe just use sweepers in midle of map where are houses and bad pathing ? becuase everywhere lese except bridges and Vp entrances (you can vault = problem of mines solved) semoskiy is open map
100% sure, did it yesterday in a 2v2 AT where i swept a demo and asked my mate what to do now and he said attack move rightclick it and i did. effect was pio shooting the demo and it exploded after 0.5 sec fire from small arms. |
After 1st mine hit sweeper is a must. And then when you hit 9 mines while having sweeper its l2p issue.
Also 10 mines is 300 munny whitch is quite a lot.
Yes cover , housing , narrow roads makes a lot but then your opponent outplay you if he mine building entrances and you are not able to sweep them.
Demo is however a lot worse because you cant sweep it and it always wipes
take semoski there are so many bottlenecks and you cant sweepers everywhere, or you give up the whole side map control duo running into dangerous mines.
you can sweep demos easily, just walk up to with sweeper and use attack move on it, voila |
does it take huge damage from small arms fire like 222? i seriously dont know because i never see one ( which tells alot about how bad it is) |
Anyways, the main reason I despite 1v1 is simply it takes too much stamina and stress to fight. I play the game to relieve stress, not to build it up.
Having friends share or chatting through the moment of team battle is way better than keep yourself alone with your opponent.
feel like this is the major reason so many people play larger gamemodes, for the fun and not for the stress. thats awesome tbh but then i need to question if we should balance for smaller gamemodes, since most of it (my thesis not a fact) plays it for fun were balance is not that important. on the other hand 1v1 is much more about winning were balance plays a way bigger role.
Well, maybe we like CoH2 for different aspects of game.
I don't like 1v1 for all this "capping" thing. It feels like you are playing tag, not fighting in a war.
4v4 is more deadly, when you're flanking with all your force applied to one overextended enemy group.
It is more dense when you quickly switch flanks and crush opponents in 2v3 battle.
It is more diverse in terms of commander/tech choice (although, it may be so because of amplitude of matchmaking).
Also I should say that you encounter blobbing and spamfest even in 1v1 (just watch any cpt.SPrice game )
Experienced player will counter your spam easily will be it 1v1 or 4v4.
yep i guess we just like different styles, maybe ill enjoy larger gamemodes someday ( maybe when im high as fuck and dont wanna play 1v1 because to much stress, gonna try it out )

you trolly are helpless. all building's up + atop extra 260 Fuel in a Fuel handicapped faction gives you a "tank" which is countered by an light Tank hunter that can be spammed like there's no tomorrow among other 25 things, units and ability's
MAN ITS A TANK DESTROYAAA, thats why grens have grenades and riflemens have rifles and uhm yes infantry sections have some infantry in them. |
I still wouldn't consider the sniper a good counter to garrison because it is very risky to repeayedly poke at troops inside buildings (especially MGs).
shoot mg, 3 models left, mg packs up mg and set up to face sniper, sniper walks out of range, now you can freely close in with a infantry squad, mg will be forced to pack up again and face infatry squad, you can shoot with sniper again, 2 models left. at this point he needs to make a decision any further second staying can be a wipe. this takes time of 2 sniper shoots from far away, how long is the reload for the sniper? ~10 secs for both shoots? seems pretty fast for clearing a building from far away without taking any damage.
i regularly use sniper to clean garrison as ost when its a small model squad. |
Sniper vs garrison stats:
Ost: 2 * 0.325 = 65%
Sov: 2 * 0.4 = 80%
Brit: 2 * 0.5 = 100% (still not fixed nfPeter
thanks for the numbers!
hmm i thought ive read some patchnotes mentioning fixing the brit sniper bug, but hey means no brit can ever say they dont have a garrison cleaning tool, they got the best considering the squadsize of axis. |
To me it seems like you're trying to describe your impressions (or just theorycraft) about something you have never experienced by yourself.
Grab a friend or two and try it a few times. I'm sure you'll change your mind.
im sorry, but i did several times and it just looked like a massive spam fest to me and my premade friends. is it fun? yes do i like it to play "competetive"? no its just to much blobbing and to much arty |
I actually used them effectively by placing them on far away points, where the opponent is often just using shift + cap.
With the 3x reduced mine cost bulletin it is easy to spam them. Even better with the fuel to ammo conversion.
In 2v2s it is also good for securing VPs. Then target the minesweeper squads with priority. It can be incredibly frustrating to play against, increasing the micro tax of your opponent.
still seems inferior to just placing a mine on a vp and watch that squad getting wiped ( especially if its under fire and loses a model and/or health) looks stylisher thought to have a pio trying to clear a minefield. |
Mortar halftracks son.
No shit, they do wonders against that.
ye i tried that especially the vet 1 ability. but i suck hard at using it, it seems to have the same range as the 6pdr and it always got caught by it, 1 shoot then the little delay between moving it+ its horrible pathing. but thats more of a l2p issue i think.
still dont like it to force me into a kinda useless mortar ht doc( only got one without any callin beside the mortar ht) |
