Stg44 on Ober can detect cloaked Commandos FYI. So if you find yourself facing then a lot that is one good way to fight them, as you can engage at midrange with Ober and that should give you enough advantage to drive them off.

Nope, the commando grenade goes off in a second unlike the infantry section gammon bomb and can be thrown from camo on top of that.
I wiped 4 ostruppen squads in one go with a commando nade ambush like this. Granted the guy was vlobbing them; he basically had 0 time to react.
guy I played cloaked right on top of my Battle HQ, I was lucky I only lost 1 squad to the damn thing. At least now I know I was right about the crazy short fuse.

Those things have long fuses. They are more like a satchel charge then a grenade. You should be able to easily dodge it.
I would've thought so, I watched the model wind up and throw it.. maybe it glitched? Thing went off almost instantly. Felt like less than 2 seconds, which isnt nearly long enough to get away from the huge AoE. |
Commandos are absurd on that new close quarters rubble city map(forgot what its called)
Literally unstoppable on the right side rubble. NOTHING can compete with them. And if you look away for a second,hell even if you dont look away,your squad will be erased SilentHunter ChrisKyle Silencer with a Red DOT Call of duty 4: SOCOM:US Navy SEALS style.
Its cool to fight against,and cool for the player using them,btu they are over the top,its not even funny. 170 ish DPS apparently?
also that thermonuclear grenade they cook. I even micro'd out of the way of it and it still squad wiped an entire volks squad, goes off like a demo charge. lolwut. Not to mention the ridiculous ambush/camo/cover advantage they have.

Brace may need some changes but a straight nerf is not required. The faction is already nearly impossible to use and this would outright destroy them.
Brace, to my understanding, prevents the unit from firing. This is a huge win for you already. Brace also does little to prevent flame damage. Don't rely on arty to take out Brit emplacements. Use mobile troops and flame to flush out infantry and then deal with the structure at your leisure.

Given that its old alpha client and alpha was pretty much closed?
They have a separate in-house build with other changes, what we got was leftovers from old alpha, hence no changes.
I mean, thats a pretty shitty way to showcase your product you're trying to sell. |
