oh, I should also note that I'm on a broadband connection at ~36/6 |
I have a pretty reasonable setup for playing the game - generally no lag issues once I'm in the game playing, but the load times are consistently atrocious. For a while I thought it was just the UI incorrectly stating how quickly all the other players loaded the game, but I've had a few people comment that my load times are awful.
Any guidance out there? AMD drivers? A Steam install issue? Never had this problem on CoH1, and this problem has persisted across SSD (went from Intel to a Samsung 850)
EDIT - I am not good with computer

That's a nice idea but, if I am not mistaken it's acceleration and rotation speed will still enable it to move out of trouble very quickly without the need for reversing.
thankfully the pathing is still dimwitted enough that short distance adjustments turn into 16 point turns anyway |
i don't mind if 4vs4 isn't competitive, i just want it to be fun !! not just being crushed as allies no matter how good we played....
I play 4x4 as allies when I want to play around with build orders and tinker with some new units/doctrines, I play 4x4 as axis when I want to curb stomp and play with all the big heavy tanks that we never get to see in 1v1/2v2 games

just use the T-34/85 dual call in like every other soviet player and ignore building the /76
(I hate the T-34/85 call in with a passion) |
I think splitting your forces early (Especially as the USF) is a good idea against a Kubelwagen. You don't really need 2 rifles together early game, as they beat any tier 0 unit 1v1.
Having your units spread out means you don't get your whole force suppressed. Although don't take my word for it, I haven't played in a while so I'm going by streams.
this means USF players would have to stop blobing rifleman, and we know that isnt going to happen. |
just wrote a long post and site logged me out during writing - thanks.
Just to put it short = what the heck happend to OKW after this patch. 4vs 4 game. Our team had 2 vp´s +fuel +most of the sectors and in few minutes i see atleast 10 to 12 soviet + usa tanks raping all on their way. Game was over in 15 minutes. How in the hell they got resources to do that?
the late game allies tank spam is brutal and feels inevitable, the OKW middle game is still god awful, so it feels like no matter how good your early game micro and map control is, its all for naught. |
been playing a bunch of 2v2 games - 2x Soviet vs any axis combination is a complete shitshow
its the same thing over and over, maxpins, snipers, and zis with the clown car thrown in for good measure. I've had rounds were my micro has felt spot on in the early game, but just delays the inevitable of the T3/T4 Soviet armor spam. The ISU squad sniping is laughable, and the rek doesnt even penetrate it. What good is the OKW armor if you never get to it
rinse and repeat, the Soviet OP makes it totally unenjoyable to play online, especially 2v2

I'm having a lot of trouble mid into early late game. The OKW infantry lose their advantage pretty quick, the kubel is made of tissue paper and the volks feel ineffective in general. The 7.5cm ISG has terrible splash against support weapons (maxim, mortar) - that all adds up to pretty tough sledding in the mid game with a LOT of micro to just keep your head above water.
The early game sturms are almost too powerful with the 44s, but very effective at getting early map control, I just cant turn that advantage into anything useful. By the time you get to the puma, its too late as the US or Russian medium/heavy armor is already on the field, so maybe I should shoot for the jagdpanzer T2 and a flak in T3 and give that a go.
really frustrating faction for me right now, defeat from the jaws of victory on all my games.
