If you are using them as shock troops, you are doing it wrong and it's L2P. They are not meant to rush enemy's front line. If you use them to rush LMG grens or Obersoldanet, you are doing it wrong (Nothing can rush Obersoldanet in that matter, maybe vetted LMG paras or double m1919 vetted rifles).

As long as it shoots normal bullets, Obers do not give a shit about it, or about any other small arms fire.
The HMG is fine with suppression and already does above average dps, its problem is fragility, rec acc debuff and axis long range firepower, which means 2 of pretty much any squads above volks can a-move it frontally as long as they are not on top of each other.
I suggest adding "Silver Bullets" ability, specially for countering Obers. |

The brigade moved further and we got stuck in Verbyakovka for three days, while the maintenance technicians were digging around in the machine. Some general showed up who ordered me to move my tank to the outskirts for a watch “to prevent any bloody one to break in”. The tank was knocked down, but as a firing point it was quite effective.
When we got repaired we caught up with our troops. We arrived in the area; I will never forget the Cossack hamlet Khlebny. 3 km from there was another hamlet named Petrovsky. It was also occupied by Soviet tanks, but not those of our brigade. Between those two hamlets, which lay on hills, there was lowland.
Early in the morning the 8th Italian army was passing along that lowland in an enormous thick crowd saving itself from the encirclement. When the Italian vanguard units aligned with us we heard the command being distributed along our columns: “Go forward! Crush them!" Then we tore into them from both flanks!
I have never seen a mess as that one. We literally ground the Italian army into the soil. You should have looked into our eyes to see how much anger and hatred we had then! So we were squashing those Italians like bugs. It was winter; our tanks were painted in white color. When we disengaged from the battle the tanks below the turrets were red as if had floated in blood. I looked at the tracks: hands and fragments of skulls were stuck here and there. The spectacle was appalling.
We captured crowds of POWs that day. After that elimination the 8th Italian army literally ceased to exist. At least, I never saw a single Italian at the front after that.

There sould be some rules:
- Commander abilities that are not allowed to appear in the same doctrine
and
- Each ability should value a number of points. The most valuable abilities or powerfull abilities should value more points and the weakest or those that are almost useless, less points. You will have then a limited number of points to build a custom commander, and if you exhausted them, you cannot purchase other abilities in order to obtain the standard number (5).
For instance "mechanized grenadier group" should value 1 point while Tiger Ace call-in should value 4 points and the maximum number of points you can use is 7.... "rapid conscritpion" should value 1 point, while recon overflight should value 2... and so on.
Of course this system needs some time to be implemented corectly but it should work. Also, it would be a proof of individual builder's brains (or lack of) and experience.
Or how about that: there shouldn't be useless abilities. Those that are UP should be buffed and those that are just bad idea - redesigned or removed and replaced. |
Is there a downside of going soviet T1 with shocks plus buffed PTRS guards and a more speedy m3? What is ostheer supposed to do against that? This tier also gives you access to penals which feel pretty damn strong as well.

Secure mode is fine on T70, but on tanks like the IS-2 and KV-2 it just smacks of lazy design.
I think the T-34, IS-2, and KV-2 deserve to have real abilities awarded to them that compliment their use in the game.

You can use it to prevent the enemy capturing a vital fuel or VP with a T34 or even IS2 if its desperate enough ahd you dont have inf handy or they have too much AI around.
Or you could have some good ability on T34 or even IS-2 which would save your infantry or clean area from enemy AI. Touche. |
Changes:
- Reduce damage and decrease reload time to keep DPS the same (make it, basically, zook with higher penetration and higher cost)
- Slightly reduce long range accuracy
- Remove any AoE damage from schrek and zook (make it downgrade in terms of AI)
Result:
- No more losing tanks to a single volley from schrekblob
- No more lucky squad wipes
- Schrek performance against light vehicles is the same
