The thought of Switzerland being a faction in CoH2 is comical. What did Switzerland have to offer that would translate well into CoH2? They didn't have a good army, they didn't have a Navy and they didn't have an airforce, so i'm curious as to how Relic would make Switzerland work in CoH2.
The next German faction I think should be Imperial Japan or Finland since both of those countries actually had their own weapons, uniforms and etc and can be easily implemented in CoH2. As for the Allies, if the British Army are making a return to CoH2, then i'm going to officially switch over to the Allied side and only play the British |
I agree, it would be nice if Volksgrenadiers can be upgraded with LMG's, MP44's or perhaps infrared MP44's. Right now, Volks are only good for preventing Russian and US tanks from steamrolling over your troops, so you have to rely on Obersoldatens to deal with their infantry. If Volks are provided the option of upgrading to either a Panzershrek or LMG/MP44's and maybe an infrared mp44 then that would pave the way for new strategies, and we probably won't see volks with shreks every single game.
Another option is to give the Volks new abilities that cost munitions, or you can give the Volks the option of buying both the Panzershrek, an LMG and MP44's; they have the squad number to make this possible, it's entirely up to Relic though to implement these changes |
No way, are you sure all those Wehrmacht units had the same VA? They all had different voices though unless my memory has gone to hell. I'm 99% sure all of those German units weren't voiced by one person but by about 2-5 people.
Regardless, i'm specifically talking about the same exact voice lines units in CoH2 share. One example is the Jaeger Light Infantry and the Wehrmacht Storm Troopers. I was ecstatic about Storm Troopers being added since I thought it would mean new voice lines, new textures and perhaps a new VA(Or at the very least a different German accent, so it can be distinguished from other German infantry), but I was very wrong when I found out it was a Jaeger Light Infantry Unit except for its icon.

Great, let me know when Vehicle crews become a main combat infantry unit. The Rangers in CoH1 were unique, had their own cool voice acting and etc, so I expect Relic to put the same effort into CoH2 Rangers as they did in CoH1. This is assuming they actually release US Rangers for multiplayer via a new Commander or something. It'd be better if they don't add them and focus on balance but you never know with Relic. |
I have to agree it's very well done and is my personal favourite. I don't think I'll switch out since every other face plate lacks the good looks of the Remembrance Day face plate. |
If Relic actually does bring the US Rangers into multiplayer down the road, then they better put effort into it and by that I mean get a new voice actor instead of using the VA of existing units. In CoH1, each and every unit had different voices, lines and etc but in CoH2, a number of units all use the same VA and in some cases, have the same exact skin despite the units are supposed to be "new" units or different. |
My only complaint is the FG-42. It sounds like a modern SMG which I don't like at all compared to the CoH1 FG-42 where it sounded loud and heavy, and you knew you had some serious firepower. The K98's could also use some work since I find their sound inferior to CoH1's. |
The graphics are great and I have no problem with the actual quality. The optimisation however is atrocious and the game engine for CoH2 can be considered one of the worst in video game history. CoH1's graphic engine was well optimised and I personally never ran into any errors playing CoH1. I'v ran into a lot of errors with CoH2 however because the game engine isn't optimised one bit. |
I really dislike the moderation system, but it doesn't really stop me from throwing profanity at the person since I usually just add them to my friends list if I want to insult them and etc.
Another way to get around it is using asterisks, which is the method I've been using.
The best solution I think is the option of enabling/disabling it. I love jousting with other people who insult me and etc so this moderation system really takes the fun out of it. |
I accept your surrender, QueenRatchet. Next time you want to debate with someone, make sure you know what words you're typing so mistakes like the one in your post won't happen again.
Anyways, it seems i'm not alone in stating that the USF are the strongest faction in the game so far since 16 people have voted for the USF as of now. Surprisingly the Wehrmacht is considered to be the least strongest for this patch. The Wehrmacht is surprisingly good in 1v1's as long as you don't lose any units in early game. |
