This unit does have decent armour and can be spammed (meaning it's not actually a heavy...) - but it lacks any relevant firepower, even compared to the upgunned T34.

Sure, almost 600 MP to balance 280, seems pretty fair to me
It seems balanced with just AT vs Bofors.
It's much more solid when AT is being reinforced, that's all. |

That is a counter to OKW Flak HQ, but not to the bofors. The bofors will immediately shoot back, and both Pak as well as Raketen are within the Bofors range.
The Bofors needs to be changed but it's not like it's hard to balance.
Just to be clear, the UK player would have to use attack ground in response to the AT guns' attack ground.
This still seems pretty balanced to me, especially when you park a halftrack or medical building behind the AT gun. |
After much consideration, I've come to the conclusion that the OKW is in need of the ability to construct resource caches for fuel/munitions. For the purpose of securing cutoffs and territory as well as resource production.
Being the only faction out of five factions that cannot produce them, the other four being of course The Ostheer, USF, UKF, and Soviets, leaves the faction at a tactical and strategic disadvantage that can prove crippling to overall gameplay of that faction.
I am open to discussion on this matter however, and would appreciate reasonable debate over whether or not the OKW should be able to construct caches.

A general comment on Brit tanks: the comet and churchill are tough and almost as hard to deal with as Panthers, mainly due to the amount of firepower than can absorb while falling back for repairs. |

Jesus Christ, I never said anywhere that I miss volks w/ A-move panzerschrecks. I just want something better than a raketen. Something that isn't one-shotted by any explosive weapon. The fact that it survives past 10 seconds in combat is 100% RNG dependent, and you can't even put distance between a tank and a raketen because it has an absolute shit range.
How about a shiny new Jagdpanzer IV?

From the past couple days of experience with this mod, I've come to the conclusion that OKW is very easily crippled at the start of mid game. If you don't have all fuel points on the map, it's GG. If the USF get a sherman before you have either 2x puma, 3x raketen, or 1x PZ IV, it's GG. The raketens are easily wiped by anything that has HE, the 2x pumas will be too late, and the PZ IV will also be too late. You practically need a Wehrmacht ally for you to even have a chance to last past mid game. It's nearly impossible to push anywhere by the time the allies have some armor on the field without any handheld AT. Panzerjäger or ded gaem.
Sorry, but why didn't you use faust, mines, flank?
