I don't think the HQ halftracks would be such a big problem if they could just pack up and move, like in the All Units mod.
Currently there's just no point in having it aggressively placed somewhere on the frontline where there's a far greater risk compared to reward of losing it and having to again do the upgrade. Not to mention cutting production of said building.
So what's the point in even having them as HQ halftracks if you're 99% of the time going to place them in the safest place possible, that being your HQ sector?

Crutching on free, powerful forward emplacement and capitalizing on powerful call-in vehicle is no more.
If you don't want to lose ability to build tanks, don't put it in front. There is a reason why trucks were allowed to be built in base and now OKW got to make risk vs reward decisions all other factions do.
You miss the point. Yes it is good that the command p5 is gone as a call in, greatly so. The building however, is now unusable as aggressive building, which is what it was designed for also. So you basically negate a big part of OKW design by doing it this way. Again, all in for changing command call in cancer, but this way we treat the symptom and not the big reason or origin of the issue.
Simple actually - no more special snowflaking for OKW.
No more free passes for bullshit at the expense of balance anymore.

The point of my post is, that now that the symptom is taken care of, namely the command p5 crutch call in because of too expensive tech risks, you are now forced to ALWAYS use your schwere defensively, as losing it means certain death in the tank warfare.
No faction retains ability to produce units from X tier if that tier structure is destroyed.
And inb4 you try to say "others don't build outside of base sector" 1) artillery is a thing 2) no one is forcing OKW to do so.
Design plays a part in this and OKW was build to be aggressive and place it forward. You can't anymore as you have to repurchase both the structure and the upgrade. You can't compare factions this way. This way we could start arguing over the fact that OST and Soviets have to retreat to tech as they have to build it but USF, UKF and OKW don't. Hurrdurr special snowflaking hurrrr.

tbh i the "aggressive flakbase" is just as bullshit as the "free USF squads"...
WFA seems to always get free shit with tech while EFA factions have to pay just to get the same shit... no wonder why WFA winrates are all higher than EFA winrates

why not rework sturmpioneers to be less bullrushy and more engineery so that it can fill the cheap recrewing niche?
Why dont we remove snares from RE to make them more engineery too then? Also make rear echelons not able to get weapons from racks since their job is reviewing and repairing. Oh wait, combat engie cant be on scout cars with flames any more because that's not what engineers do...

Now that is a stupid argument to justify raketen being bad. Using your logic then T0 USF mortars should be nerfed to uselessness and T0 conscripts should suck as they did before the recent buffs...
