Should Infrared MP44 be one abality?

I know Ober is powerful unit,and Infrared MP44 not bad,but it does not required,and Ober got MG34 upgrade,I think maybe can bundle some abality with it....Like VG MP40 upgrade?
I just feel only infrared44 not value so much....

Ober STGs are incredible. Massive amounts of DPS as well ignoring cover. They don't focus dps like the lmg does but they are no less powerful

The main issue with the ability is that it is in commander that usually does not built T4 thus does not have access to Obers

Although I personally would redesign the ability.
faction changes:
MP-40 upgrade to volks
2 Mp-40 to SP
IR&HT doctrinal

the ability now give access to MP-44 Vamp for all stock OKW infatry and to IR&HT. MP-44 get a bonus firing on unit "lighted up" with IR&HT.

Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

Not that I know of. They probably can scatter shots and hit cloaked enemy near the intended target but that happen with all weapon that can "scatter".

They ignore cover partly.

Nice. Also the flares could be adjusted to provide IR style recon and apply that to the stgs as well.

I'd even make the CP an "IR" unit that benifit from it. (and put it in tech)

Actually there a model G Panther for night fighting so it could be an upgrade for panther. But I would rather move all the "IR" in over-watch doctrine.

Even JLI fit special OPs better.
