I think we have different opinions, I would never build E8 over the regular Sherman. If you really need AT, you can just build Jackson. If you don't regular Sherman can do most things E8 do, and better.

+ this man gets it. You deploy units to win, slightly better arnor and pen (that barely even matter against p4 and are irrelevant against anything bigger) wont even offset losing HE shells. Its not about easy8 baing bad, this unit just overlaps too much with 75mm. Thats why i proposed to change it into "comet like" tank with similar cost.

I imagine a buffed E8 as a panther clone but with sherman HE. The ultimate generalist tank.
Still a little OP because of USF auto-repair crews, but worth the try maybe

Maybe give some white phosphorous ammunition for Easy8?

Maybe leave Easy8 as is and nerf the OP M36.

And then what?
It would either needed to be buffed back due to re-introducing unreliability to it while other USF AT still falls short, or axis armor would need to be nerfed, which would then turn the endless spiral of buffs/nerfs to all "T4" armor and TDs or nerf would have to be insignificant enough to not make much of a difference as it still needs to RELIABLY tackle KT without being spammed.

...

One would simply have more reason to built m10/Sherman 76/Easy8. The reason you don't see this units frequently is not that they are bad but simply that M36 is a better option.

As for USF AT option there are plenty good option that can deal with axis armor reliably.

Easy 8 role is NOT AT specialist. Its USF equivalent of T34/85, difference is, stock sherman is actually a very good and potent unit in both AI and AT support while T34 not so much.
M36 doesn't walk on its ground and is irrelevant here.

May we finally fix the path finding for Jackson, which he did not have characteristics he will be instantly destroyed until instead of the order "reverse" he begins to spin in place.

Easy8 is not an AT specialist but it has high penetration. Actually its far penetration is close to the near penetration of the T-34/85.

So what it bring to table is similar to T-34/85, it can fight axis tanks but the difference here is the USF have little trouble vs the majority axis vehicles using the M36. Their infantry can also stand up to axis infatry once up-gunned. And there are simply better USF commander out there.

Now is M36 become specialized vs Super heavies there would be more room for these USF units.

Easy8 is a cost efficient units and does not need buffs.

The E8 is an excellent tank in a trash doctrine.

That's my point.

Glad we agree.

My second point is that if one want to see these units used more one has to lower the cost efficiency of the M36 or to give it a specific role of Super heavy tank counter.

The main reason people do not use the Easy 8 is because it's in a very lackluster doctrine. The tank itself is good.

Though personally I do agree the M36 should probably lose ROF so it becomes less efficient against medium tanks, while keeping its role as Panther and heavies counter.

USF getting a Command Tank would be awesome, in any way, shape or price.

Kv1 is pretty good already, asking for buff for it bcos of kv8 is powercreep.
Imo kv1 is OKish but time dependant. Rushed they are beasts (its hard tho).
Do kv1 have the same gun profile as kv8?

I think the E8 just needs to replace Dozer Blades in the new USF commander and the KV1 maybe needs a slight reduction in cost since right now I think the T34-85 is better in most circumstances. Otherwise I think both tanks are good when used well. They just are either in mediocre commanders or are a bit more expensive than other premium mediums that aren't necessarily much better performance-wise, they are just a little bit cheaper cost-wise so most people opt for their better cost-effectiveness.

The KV-1 is not fighting T-34/85 but PzIV. And it can beat easily. It does not need to buffed.

If T-34/85 feel better it is because it got its mg ninja buffed the same time T-34/76 by accident.

And the 2 unit are currently different, one is more durable the other has a better gun.

The only thing KV-1 needs is different vet 1 abilities and different vet bonuses.
