Is it bugged or intended? What's the point for me to build an AA then?

Don't park it in the circle.

It'll counter planes nicely outside of circle, but SCAS will instantly murder any light vehicle within range, regardless what it is.

What you are complaining here is akin to complaining that flanked HMG gets destroyed by infantry instead of stopping them.

I can somewhat "counter" the loiter by moving all my troops out of the circle. So what's the difference for having an AA or not?

The planes have a circle they'll acquire targets in. The AAHT doesn't need to be in that circle to shoot down the planes.

The plane should be shot down before the ability be effective and become a waste of munition just like the ally supply drop of soviet. So this will be fair and consistent on the same level of "counter".

That will render a lot of commanders useless. Like werh Air Support commander, or Falshimjaegers OKW.

You can kill the AA, right? Can you explain to me the logic behind why is it okay for Soviet commander solely being useless while others should be useful? Not to mention most "Useful" commander with OP aircraft ability that you can list out are only axis and axis commander.

The problem is the rotation. Some AA platform actually destroy planes rather quickly but they have problems with tracking them.

AA will quickly shoot the planes down after you move out of the circle, so the ability will be countered from that point on and you can move back in before it "ends" (because both the stukas will be dead). It's actually really useful if you already have the thing around, and it gets you a decent amount of vet (and AAHT vet3 is a health boost so it can survive 2 hits so that's super useful, among the best veterancy bonuses out there for light vehicles), so it's definitely worth it.

The ability itself says how vulnerable the plane is...
So a bad comparison is being made between an economic plane ability and a combatant planes ability...

Supply drop zone doesn't go straight into your base.

Supply drop zone doesn't go straight into your base.

Neither does the allied supply drop. It goes straight into the ground.
