Ostheer t4 repair station

I think most reasonable players can agree on these two things:
1.) Ostheer has the hardest time with repairs
2.) Ostheer t4 comes very late and is often disregarded

I propose adding repairmen to the t4 building.

This will help relieve ostheer pios a bit from their already over tasked list of duties (clearly buildings with flamer, sweeping, wire, bunkers, buildings, sandbags, capping, on field repairs etc.).

Two things to note:
1.) this still requires ostheer to build pios to repair damaged engines since it'll take a long time to get back to base.
2.) Ostheer has the fewest and weakest repair options of all five factions (only pios).

Thoughts?
Edit: could a poll please be added with the following options

Q: should ostheer t4 get repairmen?
1. No
2. Yes
3. With additional upgrade

This idea could also be applied to the Soviet t4 since they are in a similar situation in terms of repairs.
Add similar poll for Soviet t4 as well

This is definitely an idea worth considering. Obviously T4 suffers from a lack of incentive to build (predominantly due to Tiger call-in meta). While I'd love to see Tiger moved to T4, this could be an interesting compromise.

Also some love for SU one ?
IMO Osteer T4 is meh cuz high tech cost and under performing Panther . Any buff for Panther require some tone down for T3 units (make STuG spam not OP,PzIV become more reliable and Panther become tank hunter spacialist) .

I know I'd trade a reinforce bunker for a repair bunker any day.

Like the Vcoh rep bunkers? Those were so good. I think that would be too OP.

I added the idea for the Soviet t4 as well. They need help for repairs as well but they already have a number of doctrinal repair options

No, if anything OKW and UKF should be nerfed to Ost levels.

Ost has the highest win rates in every game mode, 1v1 through 4v4, arranged teams or randoms. In some cases, it is around a 30% increase over allied win rates. When do "reasonable players" think that Ost has been buffed enough?

Yes,but never be nondoctrinal. Tired enough when axis players can get everything within their tech tree but ally players have to pay for it.

+1 on Tiger moved to T4.
It works great in modded games.

Also some love for SU one ?

No. You have enough.

I know I'd trade a reinforce bunker for a repair bunker any day.

Stole the words outta my mouth

Why would it be OP?
You can just have a 2 man team in them so it's worse than OKW

Have you actually played games as OST?

Instead of a repair station at tier 4, I'm with Cyanara, get rid of the command post bunker for a repair station. Not just that but the command bunker doesn't get that much use (The lack of FRP would also contribute to this)

What does everyone think would be a reasonable price point, I say the 80 muni for the upgrade.

I too think repair bunker would suit better but its cost should be fuel perhaps?

i personally would merge reinforce and healing bunker in one and then create a repair bunker

wehr would still not have a frp then, but smart soft retreating would be rewarded

I like your concept! However, I like the idea of the repair bunker that others mentioned better!

I think that repair bunker is good, but can only be built on base sector and VP sectors when they are connected

If people don't build T4's in 1v1 why not just fix the root cause of the problem? T4 is rock-solid elsewhere. There's absolutely no reason to disbalance the late-game even further.
- Make T4 cheaper
- Tie Call-ins to tech
- Make the units inside T4 more suitable for use in 1v1
- Nerf UKF/OKW repair speeds to OST levels

For 1v1 purposes, with the current price, I would never build a T4 for the repair speeds. Instead I would just buy 2 more Pios that can also sweep and cap territory, and then hold my fuel out for a non-tech tiger.

There is already a big disparity in the late-game of the infantry-heavier factions (Soviets/USF; yeah, I know how Soviet infantry scales currently). By making repairs more available, you are making infantry play even less relevant in the late-game, further dooming the forementioned factions.

Does OST really require repair speed and popcap boost (repair stations will take no popcap I assume) vs which faction in the lategame?
- Soviets?
- USF?
- Brits?

PS: The idea of a repair station is good. It's just that it seems that it will have too many unwanted knock-on effects

But It also could leave more time for the pioneers to do mining or passive building (barbed wires, sandbag) and also could synergise with the "bringing half track on the field" idea by replacing the command bunker with repairs.
A lot of times retreating engineers, waiting for them to reinforce then moving them to tank and then starting repair is just slows down the game very much. I never think of this as a buff per se, but a gameplay option.

Tying call-ins to tech is a good idea but why not go further and making call-ins available in their designated tier building. Waiting for them to train could balance the call-in timings. But that's a discussion for another topic.

I like this idea. Or a repair bunker. Or boost repair rate of engies.
Any of these would help Ost.
