Anyone else notice how the British player focused on the mortar pits?
So, instead of nerfing the bofors or mortar pit, why not just replace the mortar pit with a mobile mortar and make the mortar pit into a garrisonable emplacement, which, may or may not give the garrisoned mortars a vet 1 bonus similar to the Vickers vet 1, as well as some increased protection compared to just being outside in green cover.
Oh and OP: the reason why the Bofors died after 40 minutes was because it was well supported, any enemy will have a hard time defeating a well supported position.

(I don't think the Bofors or brace is as big an issue as people make it out to be)
If the Bofors emplacement couldn't auto-attack, required player targeting and that "ability" locked it to a target, had cooldown etc, and we removed brace and gave it a larger health pool instead, would that be a better unit design conceptually?
or something like this instead of a single targeted ability.
Only if it also could spawn Obers, Pz.IV, Panthers and JPz.IV.

First the guy lost the game and had pretty poor map control. Sure he dragged the game out what did it achieve? Nothing.
Second, if Jove had built a Stuka instead of the KT, emplacements would have been gone long before hand. The key to the emplacement commander is killing the FHQ, since it removes the free repairs. He also could have force braced all emplacements with his off map, then just yolo run in 3 volks and flame nade just before brace runs out. Not much you can do about that, especially with the P4 / at guns assisting.
Third, you say its too strong for the costs. Are you talking about the base cost of the emplacement, or including tech costs, FHQ costs & munition costs for the upgrade?
Forth, since apparently John Smith is a low level player, care to post your own player card or replays of your high level games?
Edit: Also lol at Dane saying the JT needs buffing. Yeh lets buff it for 1v1 and make it batshit OP for 2v2 +

not one other faction has the ability to hold an area with this low cost in this perfection...
not oner other faction can stay in a call in bomb like this emplacement---
once again..why is it so hard to implement the statistic (dmg dealt/ dmg received) for brits emplacment..

Remember that op is extremely axis biased. You should look at his post history. It'll give a good laugh.

Think he needed a second isg early to deal with the bofors asap and eventually the rest of the pit. Once the advanced assembly is in place this doctrine becomes very difficult to deal with.

1. "hero" is a no name player...but was able to destroy joves JgTiger, and nearly his KT
2. hero rushed often jove base
3. hero destroyed joves schwerer
4. jove struggle much 40min to destroy it
5. if hero would build a better anti tank (maybe 17pounder) wall...he would win!?
6. if u have a teammate in 2v2 u can look too easy a wide area and ur mate pushes hard, while ur morta can on little maps do much dmg
7. only hero lost, istn a prove that it isnt op > look the cost/ efficence from this units..which unit has such performanche for this price?
8. a little luck against the KT...and jove would be the loser

Thank you so much for ignoring my solution to your problem (as everyone else's solutions to your problem) and continuing to bang the drums of nerfing a unit just because YOU think it's OP.

This in combination with the Brit faction´s abilities and best non doc late game tanks, makes it hard to deal with.

Bofors means no AEC, so long as that remains a fact, I don't see any problem with this emplacement.
Have you ever even seen this emplacement
