You're correct.

I think there's a possibility the models are mixed up. The mortars on the left seem to be using the GrW 34 model, which is incorrect of course, but the two models on the right seem to look a lot like the M2 mortar.

For reference,
M2 60mm Mortar
GrW 34

If you look at the knob on the right side of the mortar (Elevation knob maybe?) it seems to be some sort of knurling on the GrW 34 (Visible in the screenshot on the left) and a wheel-like device with a handle on the M2. (I think you can see the handle on the bottom right mortar if you look closely) Also, the bar on the bipod of the M2 branches off to the left of the mortar (Right in the picture) while the bar on the GrW 34 branches off to the right of the mortar. It looks like the game models took that into account as well.

I'm pretty sure half the terminology in this post is wrong, so correct me if you know any better.

There are un-animated models of the M1919A4 Browning heavy machine gun and M2 60mm mortar in the game and can be seen in the editor, the ones you see here are as follows: the one on the left is the M2 60mm Mortar using the GrW34 model as a placeholder as is the M1919A4 in the game using the Maxim model as a placeholder, the one on the right is the M1 80mm Divisional mortar, used in AA, just so you guys don't confused them or anything, I still don't understand why Relic refuses to use the M1 instead, USF need something with a punch, not the new Maxim spam meta of quick setup and breakdown.

So how do these mortars perform compared to the others, since it is a smaller size.

Also does anyone know the price it will be and its vet bonuses?

In Competitive mod it is T0 240mp, 4 men squad, quite mobile. It has short range but shoots pretty fast and accurate (sometimes too accurate in my opinion). White phosphorous smoke on vet1, I believe that vet2 and 3 are same as SU and Ost mortars.

Does the fact that it's a 60mm mortar make it worse than the 81mm counterpart?

Shorter range, 60mm will lose to 81mm in position war, maybe smaller AOE, it's very hard to compare them without numbers.

The fact that it has no tech cost, in a faction with the strongest mainline infantry will probably make it OP.

Neither OKW or Wer can attack riflemen in cover in the start of the game so if supported by mortar riflemen will probably win most early engagements without delaying their tech.
