MG emplacement not replacement for HMG team, but additional option for player. Wehrmacht or USF player build MG emplacement to cover their back or important Capture Point. It is tighter than HMG team. And if it will be destroyed, enemy will not get HMG.

Not sure what you intend to put on the table with that video, it's a handful of upgraded vet3 units in yellow cover winning against a badly timed AP round MG42 that isn't in cover.

But... would those units beat MG bunker on same position? I guess no.

Experienced players wouldn't send the same units to fight a bunker head-on. E.g. Nobody do send AI squads to do an AT job.

The MG would lose even if all squads were suppressed.

Cost, firepower and cover difference is way too immense for HM like that to stand a chance without a spotter to utilize max range.

Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

Yeah, that video's functionally equivalent to saying the Soviets need bunkers because a Maxim ran in and set up to be in range of 3 Ober squads. The 42 might have actually have actually had a chance if it didn't waste time loading up IAP since it had an ISG right by it to help.
