Relic, OKW Needs the resource penalty back!

With this recent announcement (http://www.companyofheroes.com/blog/2016/03/04/the-vetreinforce-bug), which says that the vet wasn't working all along, and will be fixed in the next patch, I think that calls for OKW to gain their faction penalty back. Volks will be stronger than ever with the now-working super 5 star veterancy levels. Limit the resources, limit the volks, limit the blob, also limit the super everything else, because FIVE F*CKING VETERANCY LEVELS. I loved the old OKW for what they were with the penalty, now hopefully I'll get this back :lol:! Relic please, it's out only hope before the 9th of March! :help:

No, a general resource penalty is a stupid way of balancing.

If they need nerfs, increasing prices and adding side upgrades is a way better and easier to control way of doing it then bringing back the terrible resource penalties.

Would be nice for the supposed 'manpower starved late 1944' faction to actually have issues with manpower.

But then again you could argue that the SU should have some sort of manpower bonus :D

They should keep the resources, but lose the extra vet.

Limited resources did not work. It forced OKW into very strict build orders and left little room for innovative play. Losing vehicles was extremely punishing and frustrating.

However, now that they have normal resources which allows them to get proper combined arms, there is no reason why they should scale so much better than other factions with veterancy.

What about making OKW pay MP to unlock 4th and 5th Stars? Would be a resource penalty of sorts that achieves the "Low on numbers but powerful" feel Relic was going for.

Enough with the penalty. Its not the penalty that made them fun Its the general design of OKW is borring.

Vet 5 is definitely an inexplicable advantage without much of a contrasting drawback by a design point, but OKW certainly doesn't need a nerf like that, and simply returning the old penalty in its entirety wouldn't be learning from its removal.

Maybe returnig all along is not a good choice but some kind of resource penalty is needed. Also old okw had much more depth than new one with repair truck and strong lategame.

Revert back the changes made to king tiger's armor and fuel cost and remove the restriction of "only one on the field" as it is a stock unit and Jagdtiger is a call-in. Give jagdtiger the power it had before of shooting through walls and reduce the price of volks to 235. Reduce the price of a panther and give back the elitism to obers and falls. Give suppression ability back to LEIG. If all of this is done, then go ahead and give resource penalty otherwise stop being bias.

Except they had the tools to offset their resource penalty. Salvage and resource conversion gave them a unique flavour and rewarded good economization and tech timings.

Of course none of you guys ever fucking used resource conversion...

As a 3000+ 2v2,4v4 player you shouldn't be making balance threads.

I still do my research, and can point out something bad before a disaster. The complaints will start rolling in anyways on March 9th. Best fix this before this shit-storm begins...

As for the rank, meh I play automatch once a week, mainly just to see how new features effect the game. Most of the time that I spend enjoying the game, happens in custom maps with friends over ts, but I still know my shit.

Sure, maybe without the LeIG change as long as pak howie has no suppression.

@Karbinder; USF/UKF vet 3 units beat OKW vet100 units. It's not about the levels, it's about what buff they get. Vet 3 tommies beat every elite OKW inf.

You are just encouraging hardcore fanboys to rage even harder.

Jesus Christ, did you even read the changes. Relic said the vet system was flawed since launch. The OKW buffs still can outweigh the other vets. Not to mention, the 5 man volks squad makes it MUCH easier to preserve units.
