Considering the new system will be used by thousands of people, you'd hope they would include as many people as possible in the testing.
I know several people who were in the UKF beta and only played it for about an hour.
They could have hugely improved the system years ago, just by removing duplicate commanders/skins/faceplates/victory strikes.

New players - agreed, they should be 'ruled out'.
But apart from that, everyone knows it's a bad system so everyone should be included.
Btw, I'm sure people like Stormless and others who stand closer to Relic, are allowed in the Alpha
That not true as all of the TAB members such as Napalm (who visited the studio) didn't get one, nor did A_E.
I think they chose people who do a lot of comp stomps and such and are asking if the "supply" they are getting seems "worth it".
I rly thing they chose lower skill players to give incentives to play in automatch, maybe this is why they adjusted automatch search parameters.

Brit alpha was the worst. 90% of people were literally completely nobodies and alpha balance forums was worse than official forums.

And thats totally fine, idk why people are so rageface over them choosing the people who aren't in top 200 lol. Someone was saying their schedule would be crazy so maybe they will add in people daily to try it or will keep adding more mechanics every week and by the end of it we get a whole new meta game.
Regardless, as much as I want in I realize that my opinion would be biased and filled with some jaded opinion saying that the new stuff isn't that big of a deal lol.
