To be fair that probably says more about Ostheer teching than it does about Panzerwerfer's performance. It's mostly okay though I think removing the suppression wouldn't be bad - it was a good idea when it was underperforming but now it feels a bit excessive. (And if we're being honest, probably a byproduct of Relic's infatuation with the artillery suppression experiment ala ISG and Pack Howie. That and I think the far and maybe midrange damage can be scaled back just a tad (same with Calliope).

Delay between rockets 0.1 seconds. And I think some more. Am at work now no time to look up source.

Maybe Rocket arty should all be more in line with what katyusha is. These were designed to be area of effect, saturation type of arty.

By bringing down every rocket barrage weapon to the levels of the Katyusha and giving Field Howitzers slight accuracy buff, it would again give howies a role to fulfill in the game.

IF that is asking for too much, then hard cap the number of Rocket arty vehicles you can call in, to prevent the situations like the Calliope abuse, etc.


Don't mind arty suppressing infantry, it makes sense( realistically speaking), however, all i ask is for consistency and that it be applied to all types of arty. Plus bring back mines suppression while we are at it.

The katy is not dealing with 6 men vet3 fellows or 5men vet3 brothers with 2x m1919/Brens.

The katy is not dealing with 6 men vet3 fellows or 5men vet3 brothers with 2x m1919/Brens.


Veterancy does not let squads survive getting rockets to the face. Nor does the weapons they are carrying effect their survivabilty.

The Katyusha also frequently deals with 5men squads, or did you forget that Volks are a thing?

I don't usually need katyushas versus Ostheer. Their infantry is squishy enough and they can't default to schreck blobs if you get the fuel advantage.

It's those 5 man volks with Schrecks that pretty much delete the efficacy of virtually all Allied armor.

true, just coming out of a game, 30muni mine wiped full health vet 3 panzergren with shreks and another one vet 3 gren lmg, damn i felt dirty. (no house entrance abuse, just placed on narrow routes).

i like the idea someone had with taking away suppresion from panzerwerfer and give it katy, would be pretty balanced imho (and nerf calliope somehow)

German infantry is more squishy. Can you imagine how stupid it would be if the Katyusha was like the Panzerwerfer damage-wise because the Ostheer have 4 man squads opposed to the USSR 6? The suppression is stupid though.

It's just funny how allied players whine about volks blob, when allied blob is so much more powerful with bar/bren spamming on units.

And game wise werfer cost so much more time/resources (tech&build building + build time) to even get to the field if you compare to calliope. And if rushed, you are so weak on everything else in the field.

I actually use them in 2v2, and I do find them a bit OP. The alpha strike and squadwiping potential is ridiculous, and it pretty much instakills garrisons.

It doesn't win games by itself, But it sure helps more than it should.

Oh and I actually display my playercard, so now's your chance to come up with another argument for a change.
