Searchlight needs to go

It spots snipers or any hidden unit, it sees through walls and most of all, its not revealed to the enemy when in use until they reveal it in the FOW.

Its stupid, possibly the most BS unit in the game. What the allies can do is sdend in recon.. never mind, the flak base will shoot it down in seconds.

Agree/disagree?

Disagree. If it were overperforming you would see it in professional matches, except you don't.

I wouldn't really consider it as the "most bs unit" in the game, okw lacks recon so it's fine for them to have something like that, maybe the view range and cost should be changed a little but otherwise it's fine

I'd say give it cooldown. With constant sight it is a bit broken.
But give it cooldown like "scanning for 20secs" and then you need to wait XX secs to use it again.

This is a nice idea.

Tho I don't think the unit is over performing. I hardly see it. And hardly use it myself. People don't really use it in streams either..

Could just make it show up on the mine map when it sets up

The unit is surely not overperforming. Perhaps it should have a set up/break down timer of like 5 seconds so you could easierly kill it. Or like the USF ambulance.

The problem is that the units has been bugged from day 1. Locking the cancer beam in 1 direction is doable (kinda hard to lock on the desired area although) and it marks units permanently on the minimap on some occasions.

Need confirmation if this has been fixed, but i doubt it. Searchlight + Suppression > OP

Fix the bugs with the beam locking or the halftrack itself spazzing out and give it a pack-up time so ambushing it is death and we're good.

Except the British, they recruited men with X-Ray Vision and put them in Valentine Tanks :sibDZ:

you can spot it by looking at your units. I dont have a screenshot right now and its hard to describe but there is some kind "force field" on your units. looks weird and I think it applies for both the valentine and the searchlight. maybe someone on here has a screenshot at the ready and is willing to provide it :)

EDIT: +1 to the cooldown suggestions ;)

I would rather see MORE non combat support vehicles.

God damn Bergepanther would be incomparably LESS cancerous then another op combat unit, would be easier to balance and could potentially add more to the depth. This is just example, there are many more units that could work.

This.

Or increase its price, fuelwise.

my suggestion is: before balance-posting, try to figure out a counter

I Still see nightmares of that thing... I had a game where it resurected that jagtiger? 3 times in one match...

BUT it would be nice if all factions could have some sort of salvage and capture operation doctrine that could repair busted friendly and enemy tanks for own use...

This isn't the kind of unit you can counter you know.
